11/19/17 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter initiates his swing from a neutral set up with controlled stride staying neutral. There is an aggressive weight shift and initiation of hip turn achieving good separation. Hands are quick and work directly to the baseball with a solid feel for the barrel present. There is a tendency to push upward with stride leg in association with front knee locking creating some blocking of hip rotation. Would benefit from rotating around a firm front side without the aforementioned upward push of front leg. An 85 mph bat exit speed was recorded.
On the mound, the right-hander works out of mid-3/4 arm slot. He creates deception through turning back to hitter and utilizing an exaggerated hip coil. Deception is further enhanced by stepping and landing closed with stride leg resulting in crossfire action. Despite these exaggerated movements Dingel is able to consistently repeat his delivery. Fastball sat 78-79 with considerable run and sink. Curveball thrown at 72-73 had an 11/5 shape with late, short break. Changeup at 68 mph was thrown at fastball arm speed and flashed late fade and sink. Excellent command of all offerings was present.
Defensively, plays ball bottom up and out front. Shows soft, confident glove hand. He would benefit from being more aggressive in attacking and playing through ball. Overall, Dingel is a very interesting uncommitted senior two-way prospect who will likely find an academic and baseball fit in the coming weeks.
4/5/17 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-hander worked from mid-3/4 arm slot and had some difficulty with command on this day.  Sat 80-81 with considerable sink and arm side run to fastball.  Curveball sat 70-72 with slurvy 10/4 shape.
6/21/16 5-foot-10, 159-pound average frame. On the mound the righty creates good direction to home plate with his lower half. Efficient mechanics that allow him to get the most out of his body. Clean arm action. Works through a near ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 77-80 mph with noticable run at times. Throws his curveball at 64-66 mph with 10/4 shape and gradual break. Displayed a changeup near fastball armspeed at 66-69 mph.  At the plate the righty takes a slightly downhill path to the ball with average batspeed and some strength through the zone. Uses a leg kick to incorporate his lower half. Was able to find the barrel consistently in batting practice. Registered an exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 4.8 from home to first. In the infield he threw across the diamond with loose arm action and 76 mph arm strength. Tends to play from his heels at times.
1/24/16 5-foot-10, 162-pound athletic build. At the plate the right-handed hitter starts open and gets to even on the swing. Uses a high leg kick to involve his lower half. Registered a top exit velocity of 70 mph. In the infield, he shows average footwork. Has a tendency to let the ball travel too deep into his body while fielding. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 72 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.57 from home to first. On the mound he shows good tempo and rhythm. Lands square to the plate after the pitch is delivered. Long arm action into a low ¾ slot. Fastball sits 74-77 mph with arm side run. Changeup sits 65-67 mph.
