Lane

Lane is a 2015 OF/LHP who attends Hatboro-Horsham HS.  He has a short stroke and a chance to develop into a very nice hitter.  He hit .271 with a .419 OBP on his way to 3rd-team all-SOL Continental recognition as a sophomore.

7/9/14 Lane showcased a well-rounded skill set on the day. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound left-handed hitter displayed good tempo to his swing with very quick hands. Lane has a quiet approach with no stride but creates barrel whip with a strong lower half. He registered a bat exit velocity of 79 mph and showed an accurate 76 mph arm from his outfield position. The uncommitted senior ran a 7.14 60-yard dash and completed his day by sitting 77-79 out of a 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball. The lefty has a bit of hip coil in his delivery and pounded the strike zone with a 67 mph curveball and a 72 mph changeup as well.

5/5/14 Lane is a left-handed hitter who starts from square stance with high hands and takes short stride. Takes consistent, quality swings (was just working underneath ball today). Solid, accurate throwing arm. Likes to compete.
