Mock

Mock is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound RHP/3B from Governor Mifflin HS.

8/24/14 Mock used his physical 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame to pump fastballs at 86-89, up a tick from when I saw him during the high school season. His 73-74 curveball had better shape than the previous outing, although the Penn State recruit struggled to command it in the strike zone.

4/17/14 Mock displayed a simple delivery, high-3/4 slot and good mound presence. FB 86-88 in 1st inning, settled 83-86 later on, touching 87 as late as the 5th inning. FB has pretty consistent armside action, although will flatten out when his front side leaves early. Best guess is he utilizes a split grip on his CH, based on rotation of ball and tumble action when he stays aggressive with it (at times he slowed his body down to throw it). Also featured a 72-74 CB on which he got more than half of his seven strikeouts.
