4/11/14 Stern has a solid right-handed swing with limited wasted movement to his approach. He has a flat plane through the hitting zone and stays very short to the baseball. Stern laced a double to the left center field gap, lined out sharply to the shortstop and walked in three official trips to the plate. He has a solid 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame and showed decent feet and glove work at 1B.
