4/21/17 Similar outing to two weeks prior. Attacked zone with fastball at 90-92, while he had 93-94 in him with two strikes, for full at-bats in big spots, and when a high-profile hitter stepped in the box. Curveball was a couple ticks quicker, and still a tight, late chase pitch at 79-82. Mixed in a couple solid change-ups with sink later in his outing. Threw a complete game, 5-hit shutout with one walk and 12 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over the perennial league favorite.

4/7/17 On a cold, windy day, pitched five innings, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out 13. He has a stocky build at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds. He pitched out of the stretch in just two innings and sat 89-92 mph, touching 93, for four innings. After waiting through a long, eight-run offensive outburst, he was 87-89 in his final of work. He attacked the zone with his fastball, though it lacks plane at times. His curveball was 77-80 with tight, late tilt. He generally used it as a chase pitch to the glove side of the plate, but did backdoor it for strikes against left-handed hitters. His changeup was 83 mph and rarely used. It flashed some fade between innings. Lancellotti worked quickly and projected an intense, emotional demeanor. He also showed his strength at the plate, clubbing a home run to right-center field on a hanging breaking ball.

8/9/16 Lancellotti came out sitting 92-94 and held 90-94 for four innings. He has a strong, stocky frame, getting measured on site at 5-foot-10.5—so maybe we’ll give him 5-foot-11—and 204 pounds. His changeup sits 80-81 with run and his slider flashes sharpness with depth at 77-78, though it was inconsistent. He cruised through his first three innings and saw his control waver in the fourth. He finished with two runs allowed on four hits and three walks—all of which came in that fourth inning. He struck out six.

5/23/15 North Carolina commit didn't have much in the way of offensive results on this day, but pitched his team to the Philadelphia Catholic League title. Attacks hitters and has some effort in his delivery. FB was 87-89 (touch 90) in the first inning and was the same in the seventh inning. Breaking ball was 74-77 and varied in shape from 11/5 to 10/4, but got a number of swing-and-misses. Also mixed in an occasional CH w/ some sink. Fielded his position well, ranging far to his right to field a ball along the third base line and throw the batter-runner out.

5/5/15 Physically developed frame. While his fastball sat 84-87 (touching 88) and was accompanied by a curveball at 72-75, Lancellotti's bat is his calling card.  The right-handed hitter keeps his approach simple with a quiet, balanced stance and minimal stride.  Ball screams off his bat, including a 96-mph exit velocity on a single past the pitcher's head in the first inning.

6/18/14 Lancellotti has a solid 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame and is athletic in everything he does on the field. At the plate the right-handed hitter showed fluid rhythm to his swing and a 95 mph bat exit velocity. Lancellotti was named the MVP of the White Team. He went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Lancellotti flashed his two-way abilities by moving to the mound for an inning on Day Two where he sat 86-88 out of a high 3/4 arm slot while topping at 89 mph. With a 7.01 60-yard dash and an 88 mph arm from the outfield, Lancellotti could play all three OF spots at the next level.

5/7/14 Medium frame with solid build and above average throwing arm. Right-handed hitter with simple approach at the dish. Good bat angle and launch position. Showed some barrel whip and power potential.

2/29/20: Short and strong with a big back and shoulders at 5-foot-11, 215 pounds, Lancellotti showed a quick arm that produced fastballs up to 93 mph on this look. The pitch was straight and found some barrels early, but paired with his plus 82-84 mph slider, it was good enough for 6.2 no-hit innings, before losing the no-no to the third Iowa batter he faced in the 7th on Saturday. He collapses his backside and loses the little natural leverage and angle he has for his height. He then lands on-line to the plate with a head snap finish. Lancellotti is likely best suited for a reliever role at the pro level where his fastball and slider could play up in shorter stints. He will likely be considered during the later rounds of Day Two this June. (Seifert)
