Bergman is a 6-foot, 200-pound C/OF from William Penn Charter HS. He appeared in 21 games as a freshman in 2012 for the Quakers.
8/2/14 Bergmann flashed his ability to play multiple defensive positions with an 89 mph arm from the outfield. The primary catcher was one of the most impressive prospects at the event during scout day activities and barreled the baseball all weekend in game action. Bergmann showcased pop times of 1.90-2.02 on throws of 77 mph from the crouch. The 6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitter registered a 91 mph bat exit velocity and displayed a short stroke to the baseball that produced consistent line drives during his round of batting practice.
4/26/14 Physical build. Talks the game behind the dish and is a positive motivator back there. Not afraid to backpick at 1B and 2B. Has plenty of arm strength, could quicken release time. Right-handed hitter starts from wide, balanced stance. Has over the fence juice in bat. Will compete for Team PA at PBR Future Games this summer.
2/15/14 Bergmann was one of the most impressive prospects at the event. The 6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitter squared pitch after pitch during his round of batting practice, driving the baseball with authority. Behind the plate the sophomore showcased good carry on throws of 79 mph out of the crouch with pop times of 2.00-2.06.
