O'Shea is a 6-foot, 195-pound 1B/LHP from Springfield HS. He plays travel baseball with the Delco Outlaws.
6/18/14 O'Shea had a strong offensive showing going 3-for-4 in game play from the left side of the plate. The uncommitted senior has a quiet load from a square stance with a flat swing path that allows him to stay in the hitting zone for long periods of time. O'Shea barreled the baseball routinely during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. The lefty displayed a soft glove hand at 1B and showcased two-way abilities sitting 73-74 on the mound with cut action to his fastball and command of a 1/7 curveball at 64 mph.
2/15/14 O'Shea displayed a line drive approach at the plate from a square stance with no stride. The 6-foot, 195-pound left-handed hitter barreled the baseball routinely with a bat exit velocity of 87 mph. O'Shea registered a 4.47 home-to-1B time and showed capable glove work around the bag at 1B with accurate throws of 75 mph across the diamond.
11/2/13 O'Shea is a 6-foot, 195-pound lefty that sat 73-74 out of an over the top arm slot. His 69 mph changeup lacked movement, but his 65 mph 12/6 curveball showed promise. While the curveball lacks the velocity necessary for the next level, it has tight rotation and good down action. O'Shea is a left-handed hitter that incorporated a high hands load and a flat bat path to barrel the baseball often during his round of batting practice. His swing path gets a bit long at times leading to bat drag through the zone. O'Shea showcased a bat exit velocity of 82 mph from the tee. The two-way prospect showed a soft glove hand and accurate throws of 72 mph across the diamond.
