9/25/16 6-foot-1, 180-pounder who pitched entirely out of the stretch with a rhythmic delivery and slight hook in his arm action into a three-quarter slot. Pounded the zone with a four-pitch mix that included a four-seam fastball at 82-85, a cutter at 81-82 with late darting action, a curveball at 65-67 that flashed solid 11/5 break, and a change-up at 68-71 with a bit of armside fade.

8/19/16 Parkland 2017 right-handed pitcher continues to bring consistent stuff to the mound with him. Out of a three-quarter slot, he pounded the zone with good command of a fastball at 80-83 that touched 84 and had consistent cut to it. The Trojans co-ace also incorporated a slider at 66-69 and a change-up at 69-72.
11/7/15 5-foot-11, 175-pound righty sat 81-84 with some cut action to his four-seam fastball out of a 3/4 arm slot. Also displayed an 83 mph two-seamer with some gradual fade. Off-speed arsenal included a 68 mph breaking ball with slider shape and a 72 mph changeup thrown with similar arm speed. Junior has shown a 4-5 mph up tick in velocity in past year. Repeatable mechanics and a solid frame indicate more yet to come.

11/1/14 Giovenco sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot commanding both a 4-seam and a 2-seam fastball at identical velocities. The sophomore's 2-seamer showed some cut action and his 69 mph changeup was thrown at near fastball arm speed. Giovenco slows his arm speed considerably in delivering his 64 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound righty showed good balance and repeatable mechanics while commanding the strike zone with all three pitches.
