1/17/15 Guckin showcased a new hitting approach that he has been working on for the past month. The right-handed hitter now starts from a square, wide base and uses a knee bend load to initiate his lower half with no stride. He displayed the ability to barrel the baseball middle and away with authority, but struggled with balls on the inner half. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound junior still flashed an 88 mph bat exit velocity and showed improved foot speed with a 7.15 60-yard dash. Guckin registered consistent pop times of 2.07-2.13 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch.

6/18/14 Guckin built on his strong sophomore season with a very solid performance at the Top Prospect Games. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitter utilizes a slightly open stance and flashed very quick, loose hands through the zone with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Guckin showcased athletic actions behind the dish with pop times of 2.03-2.10 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch. He ran a 7.42 60-yard dash and served notice that he belongs on the short list of the top catchers in the 2016 class in Pennsylvania.

2/16/14 Guckin is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound right-handed hitter that impressed with his barrel whip and power potential. The sophomore starts from an open stance with a high hands load and uses a strong lower half to create a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Guckin registered a 4.59 home-to-1B time and flashed pop times of 2.06-2.13 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch.

1/20/14 Guckin exhibited solid receiving skills and a very good feel for deadening dirt balls softly in front of him, while popping times of 2.10-2.15 to second base. He showcase a 71 mph arm, a clean transfer and quick feet on throws from the crouch. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance with a high hands load and strides to slightly open. In his round of batting practice, he routinely attacked the baseball (88mph exit velo), showed a feel for the barrel, and got good extension through contact.
