2017 Future Games

Committed to FDU, at 5-foot-10, 160-pound, the frame is average in size, well proportioned, body movements and actions are free and easy. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, the top tool is his defensive game, actions are smooth. The hands are super soft, works from the ground up, transfer is clean, feet move throughout, arm action is short, crisp and throws from his ear. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, with real good touch on all throws, could let it out more, has more in the tank. The feeds, starts and footwork are advanced around the bag from both sides. The open hip play from the six hole, is smooth, catches and throws all in one motion. Offensively, the stance is even with the feet, hands are loose, set just below shoulder height, have pre pitch movement to them. For timing uses a controlled high leg kick. Gains ground with stride foot, is on time when foot strikes. The swing is flat through the zone, finishes up with two hands. The barrel has some flick out front on contact, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph and ran a 7.44 sixty yard dash. In game performance was good, went 1-4 with three walks, showed very good discipline of strike zone. Strength and conditioning are a must, needs to continue to get stronger.

5-foot-10, 160-pound, average athletic frame, a well proportioned athlete, has plenty of room to fill out. Plays both side of field equally well. Defensively, the glove is good, hands are soft, very good flow to and through the baseball. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, arm action is real short, with easy carry across the diamond, clocked at 72 mph, solid touch. The pivots and feeds have timing and rhythm to them, plays were made with easy effort. The pro move slow roller made with ease as well, good flow through the baseball. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is balanced throughout, front foot open even, uses a small leg kick helps create juice to the swing. The hands are loose, with some pre pitch movement to them, swing path is level across the chest and finishes with two hands above shoulder. The lower half is engaged, tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph and ran a 4.56 down the line. Will attend the Future Games in the summer of 2017, good looking prospect, may have to make a move to right side of infield eventually.

Home - First: 4.56

Exit Velocity: 84 mph

Arm Velocity: 72 mph

8/20/16
Advanced right-handed hitting shortstop that I have seen three times in this last year. The bat plays, glove is solid and he runs well. Ran a 4.47 down the line on his dig to first base. The glove is solid in the field, makes the slow roller and 6-hole play. Handles the pivot with ease and has a nice ¾ throwing slot. Threw 76 mph across the diamond. The bat path is well coached (minor bat wrap), tee exit velocity of 81 mph. The bottom half consists of a small pick up and put down of the front foot. The path is simple, under control and the hands stay above the ball. Squared up baseballs during the game and played a solid infield throughout the day.

7/19/16

Showed extremely well at the event. Squared up a number of balls in the game (3 hits), made all the plays and showed confidence in doing so. Ran a 4.56 on his dig to first base during batting practice. At the plate, has a tee exit velocity of 79 mph, as added physical strength to his frame will be a must as he matures. Sets up with even feet and even hands, handles the barrel nicely and the bottom half is under control. The path has good hand direction to contact. Defensively, the glove is above average, the arm works, threw 76 mph across the diamond and his fee are excellent at the pivot. Good looking prospect who should continue to improve as he goes through high school

2/15/16
Slick fielding middle infielder who showed an above average glove and foot speed. The slot works and he has a feel for playing the infield. Threw 74 mph across the diamond and did it from a clean slot, which should allow him to handle the pivot. Based off the workout, he could be one of the better defenders in New England for his age. The bat works as well, still needs physical strength, which will come with time. Hits out of a wide base with a high handed setup. Picks up the front foot and puts it down. The plane of the swing is done nicely as the flat path covers the strike zone.
