6.20.18

6-foot-4, 230-pound, strong, wide, large, physical athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, with very good strength throughout. A right-handed pitcher, who has a simple delivery, works from the set position, gets loaded up on the backside. The separation is on time, arm path has average length to it and works out of a natural ¾ slot. The extension and finish is good, gets out front and uses the entire body to pitch the baseball. The fastball was clocked at 82-86 mph, with action to the arm side, with serious sink, down in the zone. Looks to elevate it as well, late in the count. The breaking ball is thrown for strikes at 65-69 mph, has a chance to be an above average pitch, tilt and depth to it. The changeup was clocked at 75 mph, fade and action to the arm side, not thrown often, still a work in progress, doesn’t need it much at this level. Times to the plate are very quick at 1.05, worked quick, holds runners very well. Look for the velocity to climb, just a matter of time before he jumps. Love the frame, arm and aggressiveness. Should be off the board at some point.

2017 Future Games

6-foot-4, 223-pound, large, wide, big athletic frame. The shoulders are big, back is wide, and the lower half has strength to it. A right-handed pitcher, threw two scoreless innings. Pounded the zone with a two pitch mix. The delivery is hybrid, starts from the set position and then gets into his rocker step. The hands start low, work up with his athletic leg raise, gets to a good gather position, stays over the rubber a long time. The separation is clean, stride is long and inline. The front foot lands heavy on toes, which gets weight and momentum raising forward, could stay a tick back when stride foot lands. The arm action has some length to it, works out of a high ¾ slot, fastball was clocked at 81-83 mph, it's a heavy ball threw it to both sides down in the zone. The breaking ball was a very good pitch for him, â break to it, clocked at 69-71 mph. The changeup was ok, showed down action to it. Times to the plate were 1.50, could quicken up  a tick.  Good looking prospect, should be off the board quick.

7-18-17
6-foot-4, 223-pound, big physical, long and lengthy frame. The back and shoulders are wide, currently filling out, with room for more added weight. A right-handed hitter, who attacks and works down hill. The delivery is repeatable, simple and balanced throughout. The hands start low and work up with his controlled leg raise. The direction is inline, arm has average length on the back side, works out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball was pounded for strikes to both sides of the plate, clocked at 80-84 mph, baseball jumps out of his hand with ease. The slider was probably his best pitch on the day, thrown for a ton of strikes, clocked at 71-73 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, clocked at 69-70 mph, at the moment doesn't need it. Tends to drop a tick on the backside out of stretch, needs to stay strong. Times out of the stretch are quick at 1.25, worked quickly between pitches and rolled through his two innings of work. Will be attending the Future Games, is a big time follow is a must to go see.

3-19-17
6-foot-4, 223-pound, large, wide, physical athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, has strength throughout. One of the better right-handed pitchers, has a fast, quick arm, baseball jumps out of his hand. The delivery is simple, is a side stepper, gets to good gather position, separation is clean and on time, is in line on front foot strike, glove is strong, backside is strong and gets squared up on release of the baseball. The arm has length to it, it's clean and loose on the backside and works out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball sat at 81-84 mph, had life and action to it, pounded it for strikes to both sides. The breaking ball is more of a slider/slurve clocked at 72 mph, late break with enough depth to it. The changeup has above average action to it, clocked at 70-72 mph, it's a good pitch. A solid three pitch pitcher, velocity is going to continue to climb, big time follow for me, has accepted his invitation to the 2017 Future Games event.

2/20/2017

6-foot-4, 220-pound right-hander, pitches out of a plus ¾ arm slot with athletic movements. A ton to like about this kids arm. The delivery needs more appropriate tracking of the front shoulder as its comes off line prior to foot strike, causing him to run away from his arm. The lift is athletic and his feet line up well. There is glove side pull to the delivery as well, which is effecting his extension. Keeping in mind he is a 2019 I love the potential in the delivery. The fastball touched 82 mph with excellent run and sink to it. The spin pitch is a short slider/slurve, sat at 69 mph. The shape of it is appropriate for his age. The changeup has the right action to it and is usable right now. Changeup was 75 mph. Big time potential and excellent follow for college coaches.
