8/16/15 - The 5 foot 11, 190- pound prospect posted a 7.41 60 time and had a 76 mph position velocity from behind the plate. Hopkins showed good arm strength, quick footwork, was accurate on throws, had a quick exchange. His pop times ranged from 1.95-2.03 as he showed an improved overall game from his last PBR event. Offensively, Hopkins has fast bat speed from the right side and had an 84 mph exit velocity off the tee.  Hits from a balanced setup, has good overall balance, short stride, and is a gap to gap type hitter. Hopkins has an aggressive approach at the plate and went 1-for-4 in game play for the royal team.
11/1/14 - 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect who has shown improvement, mainly in his approach at the plate since the North Tennessee College Prospect Showcase in August. The sturdy-framed right handed hitter starts from a balanced stance, has added a short stride, lets ball get deep, good lower half, level swing path, shows line drive ability, solid batting practice round, went 1-for-4 in game play with a single to left center field, 4.75 home to first time. Good lateral movement behind the plate, good exchange, high- ¾ arm slot, short arm action, has shown 2.00-2.10 pop times with 71 mph arm strength at August event. Solid 2016 prospect.

8/24/14 - 5-foot-10, 175 pound prospect posted a 7.66 60-yard dash and 84 mph tee exit velocity. Shows athleticism behind the plate. Moves and sets up well. Quick, clean exchange and accurate throws. Posted a 71 mph position velocity and 2.0-2.10 pop times. At the plate has a balanced athletic stance. No stride with a heel lift. Tends to cut off lower half. Showed a short path to the ball with a level swing. Line drive/ gap power and can go to the opposite field.
