8/5/18 - 60: 6.91, Position Velocity: OF: 87, Exit Velocity: 93

OF made consistent loud contact and presents intriguing all-around corner OF profile.  6-1, 195-pounder features well-proportioned present strength throughout, physical, close to mature frame.  Offensively, hit w/ a straight on (occasionally slightly closed), crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into shift of weight, stride and proper load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone.  Quiet, repeatable swing, generates easy bat speed.  Understands how to utilize his body to generate bat speed, efficient.  Jumped on his fastballs, just missed some pitches out here he normally hammers.  Appeared to be a tick off, suggesting he was starting his swing just a hair late.  Knack for contact as a power hitter, just 1 swing and miss on 7 swings.  All fields power w/ high power ceiling.  Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ easy arm strength, profiles as a prototypical RF.  Threw out a runner at the plate in game, delivering a perfect strike.

6/12/18 - Home-1st: 4.63, Position Velocity:  OF-86, Exit Velocity: 94
6-foot-1, 195-pound, LHH shows premium bat speed and just punishes the baseball to go with a solid all-around profile.  Medium, sturdy profile w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, close to mature frame.  Offensively, hits w/ a very slightly open, crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into toe turn to short stride and proper load.  Generates premium bat speed through the zone w/ natural loft.  Pull oriented approach, flashes ability to stay back and hammer the ball the other way.  Had one of the more impressive BP’s of the day, showcasing consistent hard contact w/ the baseball jumping off the barrel.  Makes a different sound off his bat.  Lot of power, projectable plus power.  Learning how to get to it consistently.  Projectable average runner, moves well for size.  In the OF, covers ground w/ easy arm strength, short release.  Likely projects to RF as frame continues maturing, but profiles as a premium defender out there.

11/18/17 - 30 Time: 3.94, Position Velocity:  OF-84, Exit Velocity: 90
6-foot-0, 190-pound, LHH shows high level bat w/ ability to hit for average and power.  Medium, athletic profile w/ some present strength, projection.  Offensively, hits from a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ knees close together, similar to a Moises Alou.  Shift of weight, toe turn into a very short stride and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone w/ extension, loft.  Projects to hit for average and power.  Defensively, shows CF run time w/ arm strength w/ carry to target.

6/13/17 - H-1B: 4.61, Position Velocity: 84, Exit Velocity: 93
6’0, 190-pound, LHH continues to impress at the plate as one of the top hitters in the 2020 class.  With his athletic frame and strong build, Lautzenheiser is able to hit balls with more pop than most his age.  His swing is simple with a no-stride approach, but is able to generate some torque with a wide base and strong lower half involvement.  His bat path is slightly up through contact, allowing him to really drive balls in the air with some power.  Defensively, Lautzenheiser gets a little anxious in the outfield, but is more than capable of making the routine plays.  With some more experience and a little more comfortability, he should see some improvements there, as well.  Arm strength is there and will only get better with time.  Lautzenheiser went 1-2 in game play with a broken jaw.

12/10/16 - 60 Time: 6.95, Position Velocity:  OF-81, Exit Velocity: 90
6-foot-0, 190-pound, LHH hits from pretty much the same wide and even stance we saw from him at the Border Battle Games, uses some rhythm with his body but has gone to a no-stride approach at the plate, lower half explodes and creates both good separation and a solid base for him, swing plane is flat through the zone with some lift at the end that provides gap-to-gap pop, could develop big power down the road.  Defensively, was once again aggressive in playing through the ball with above-average hands and footwork, arm action was a little shorter and came through an over-the-top slot.  A top prospect in the 2020 class.

10/15/16 - Home-1st: 4.66, Position Velocity:  OF - 77, Exit Velocity: 88
6-foot-0, 185-pound, LHH hits from a wider and even stance with some pretty high initial hand positioning, uses some good rhythm with a short stride and slight movement back with his hands to get loaded, lower half explodes with some purpose and provides a lot to his swing, stays balanced, swing plane bat path is typically flat to slightly upward with very good drive and some real power potential, drives the ball high and deep, gets steep on lower pitches from time to time.  Defensively, played aggressively through the ball but let himself get a little out of control at times, longer arm action comes through a high ¾ slot.  Like Bradshaw, held his own as a 2020 at this event and recorded a single and stole a base in game action.
