Texas Tech recruit, Rombach has a strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. In the first game, he was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. His strength showed out in the second game, against Arlington Martin HS, TX, as he went 2-for-4 with a single, double, RBI and two runs scored. With a short, powerful stroke, he stung the ball in his first three at-bats. First was a lineout to center field, followed by a single to left and then a double yanked down the left-field line. Nobody tested his arm in the first game, but he has a 1.77-second pop time to third base for a caught stealing the first inning of the second game. In between innings, his warm-up pop times were routinely around 1.95 seconds.

06.20.17 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, long-limbed frame. Rombach flashed 1.83-1.94 pop time during the workout and 2.19, and 2.15 times during the game. The rising-junior has solid arm strength and handles the baseball behind the plate. The right-handed hitter has sneaky pop for a youngster with long arms. Rombach destroyed a fastball to the left-centerfield gap for a triple during the game.

11.05.16
6-foot-3, 185-pound, wiry strong frame. The sophomore's pop times ranged from 2.03-2.08, clean exchange, quick footwork for his age. The arm strength is above average for his age and should continue to improve. Caught some upper-tier arms at the event and handled low-90's velo and low-80's offspeed stuff with ease. Offensively, the right-handed hitter starts from a hunched over stance showing good pop to the pull side. Has good leverage coming from his long arms and can handle balls out over the plate. Hammered a double to the left-center field wall for an rbi going 1-for-2 with a walk on the day.
