2/06/22

Ingersoll hit Chicago with some anticipation, as I've been singing his praises for some time now. Fisher is a very good athlete and as I've stated in previous reports and in public, he is the #1 baseball player in the state, as well as in the athletic category is concerned. The BP was arguably one of the best if not the best taken at the event. With a simple professional style approach, Fisher showed an ease and comfort to impact the baseball with near flawless sweet spot contact. Spraying the ball all over the "Max", 94-96 mph EV's were in a tight box of consistency. It was as if you were watching a current pro player take BP. Defensively Fish, needs to work on staying down and bending at the knees, while getting lower to the ground in his setup and approach to the ball. Has a tendency to bend at the waist, which causes him to catch and field the ball deep. See a completely different setup at 3B, that if that becomes his spot, these tweeks can disappear. But overall I see an offensive minded athletic CF'er in his future, as he is a two time 1st Team All-State WR in football, and I see a player who you just stand up in the OF and let his instincts and athleticism take over. One thing is for sure, in this scouts opinion, he is the best pure hitter in the four corners.

6/13/21

Ingersoll is the best athlete in the state as he is not only the recently named Utah “Mr. Baseball”, but also the Gatorade Player of the Year! In addition to the baseball awards, Ingersoll is a 2 sport All-State athlete, as he also carries football scholarships to 3-4 D1 schools. It remains to be seen what sport Fisher will play, but he is leaning towards baseball. What I do know is that if Fisher plays baseball, he has professional potential down the road if that’s his sport of choice. The son of longtime American Fork baseball coach, Jarod Ingersoll, who has three 6A state championships to his credit as his club took the top spot in ‘21 with a 30-1 record and a final ranking of #6 nationally by MaxPreps. Fisher was the driving force behind this spectacular team. With a 6-3 185 lean chiseled build and carrying athletic twitch, he ran a 6.64 at our recent event. (Ran a 6.5+ at the AC game tryouts). He put up a 98 mph exit velocity and was just taking an easy BP and not selling out for metrics. He sprayed LD’s to all fields with a deep drive high over the RF wall with wood and showed an easy compact stroke with on-plane accuracy at 83%. The swing is controlled and has the type of stroke that will impact BYU’s program, the minute he steps on campus. Defensively he has soft hands and educated feet with an easy throwing stroke that was clocked at 83 mph. It remains to be seen if he stays at SS or makes the move to 3B as he projects to be a physical athlete, or by using his plus speed to man CF. Athletic enough to play anywhere on the diamond as he has a high baseball IQ. The top player in the 2022 class and one of the top couple of players in the four corners in this scouts opinion.

12/11/20

Ingersoll is arguably the best athlete in the ‘22 class, as he is a two sport star, committed to BYU as a LHH SS, playing for one of the top 6A programs in the state. What is also interesting is that he is one of the best HS football players in the state as well. As a WR on a powerhouse football team as well, the ultra projs Ingersoll put up big numbers as a receiver with 74 catches, 1,142 yards, 19 TD’s, 50 tackles, 1 sack, 6 INT’s and 4 defensive TD’s! On the baseball side, Fisher has a physical 6-3 185 lean athletic build and looks to be able to pack on another 15-20 Lbs of muscle as he physically matures. A LHH with a fluid fast bat and solid hitting stroke, drives balls gap-gap and uses his speed and also is an aggr defender with educated feet and fields out front and makes accurate throws across the diamond. With 2 years to go in HS, there’s no telling where he could go and if the football part takes on a life of its own. For now he’s committed to baseball at the next level, but what he does on the gridiron, can only enhance his profile and translate to the diamond moving forward.
