7.14.15 Hit from a balance stance was slightly bent knees that was tall. Smooth load back with an arm bar. Took a short stride that stayed on line. Maintained good balance during the swing with a good lower half. Had a fluid rhythm and took a good approach during the round. Bat path was level but long at times. Had a line drive stroke that was in and out of the zone. Has a tendency to cast the hands.  Showed bat speed with an exit velocity of 86 mph. Behind the plate, threw from an over the top of arm slot with long arm action. Throws were accurate with average carry. Showed average hands and footwork. Exchanges were clean but could be faster.  Had a positional velocity of 70 mph.  Pop times were 2.05–2.17.

2.15.15 Pickette has an athletic frame and throws from a high three-quarters slot. He has a short, wrapped arm action. He has a drop and drive mechanics and stays online throughout his delivery, with uphill shoulders before a slight fall off to his finish. Pickette’s fastball was 67-71 mph, touching 73 mph, with slight run to it. He threw an 11/5 downer curveball with late break that ran 61-62 mph. His change-up was thrown with decent armspeed and had armside run to it, sitting at 64 mph. Pickette commanded all three of his pitches well. 2/15/15:  Hits from a balanced stance with flexed knees. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot with a long arm action.  Throws were accurate and had average carry.  Footwork was fluid.  Slow at times.  Transfers were clean.  Gained ground to the bag.  Hands were average while receiving.  Pop times to second were 2.25-2.31.  Positional Velocity was 69 mph.

7.14.15 Pickette has an athletic frame and throws from and over the top arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. He has a short arm action and generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are slightly uphill and slightly closed as he strides out online to a square landing before coming to an athletic finish. Pickette’s fastball had slight cutting action and ran 68-72. His curveball had gradual 11/5 action and was thrown with decent armspeed and sat 64. His changeup had sinking action and was thrown for strikes at 58.
