2.17.18: Nesson is 5-11 with a lankier frame that still has projection to it. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back, wraps some, good rhythm to his swing. Hips rotate, maintains good balance to his swing. Level to contact with extension uphill through the ball, line drive swing that generates some carry to pull side, showed good approach working middle of the field, exit velocity was 79. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields with average hands, works through his exchange and throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a loose arm action, outfield velocity was 85. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a shorter loose arm action and easier effort. Shoulders are closed and level, lands slightly closed, athletic finish with a bit of a fall off and some recoil. Fastball was 78-80 with some late run to it. Slider was 69-71 with hard 10/4 break and good arm action. Showed a curveball with 12/6 to 11/5 action and same velocity range. Change-up was 77 with some fade and good armspeed.

Shoulders level and closed, strides to a square landing with a fall off finish. Fastball was 74-75, touching 76 with late sink. Slider had sharp 10/4 action and some armspeed, running 65-67. Curveball had sharper 11/5 action and was 63-66. Change-up had good armspeed and sink, running 71-72. Hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, loads back with slight wrap. Good hips and good balance to swing, short to ball, works slightly uphill with extension through the ball. Showed good approach, using whole field, exit velocity was 75. At short, clean footwork and above average hands, clean exchange playing through the ball. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action, infield velocity was 73.
