2.22.15 Hit from a slightly crouched stance.  Loaded back, but bat wrapped and had a slight arm bar.  Had a short leg kick stride.  Lower half exploded to the ball, which maintaining balance.  Had average bat speed with a short swing path that had good extension.  Exit Velocity was 81 mph.  Should be a consistent line drive hitter.  In the field, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  His Positional Velocity was 69 mph.  He displayed decent hands that made exchanges clean.
2/22/2015:  Paynter stands 5-foot-10 and has a strong, athletic frame. He has a tall and fall delivery and throws from a high three-quarters slot. He has a late hand break and a short arm action that generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and he strides out on line before landing a bit open and falling off as he finishes. Paynter’s fastball sat 73-74, touching 75, with slight cutting action to it. He threw a gradual 12/6 breaking curveball with decent armspeed that ran 62-64 that he kept down. He kept his change-up down and threw it with armside run in the 65-67 range.
