Mitchell is 6-0 with an athletic frame, he hits from the right side from a slightly open upright balanced stance, short leg kick stride on line, smooth load down and back, has some rhythm to his swing. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some balance as well. Gets barrel to ball quickly, works slightly uphill to contact with a high finish and good extension through the ball. Strong at contact point, showed good approach working gap to gap, line drive hitter with extra base power, exit velocity was 88. At third, clean feet, works around the ball and fields it with a wider base and above average hands. Clean exchange, gains ground to target, throws from three-quarters arm slot with a short, free arm action, infield velocity was 78.

10.31.17:  Strong frame at 6-foot,180-pounds. Has made strong strides since we last saw him in February. Hits from a taller set up. Hands work well at the plate with a short path and some bat speed. Pull approach at the plate and punished majority of balls middle-in. Five hits on the day with three through the 5-6 hole and another down the line. Consistently found the barrel in each at bat.
