3.22.16:  Polansky has a strong frame. At third base, he throws from an over-the-top slot with a short arm action and an average arm. He has average hands but good actions. At the plate, Polansky hits from the left side with an unorthodox swing. He loads up and back into an arm bar with a slight leg kick stride. Polansky’s hands are absurdly quick, generating elite bat speed. He has an explosive lower half with balance throughout his swing. He showed a pull approach with elite power, hitting a long home run on a ball he popped up.

2.22.15:  Hit from a balanced, athletic stance that stood tall.  Hands started in an unorthodox position and bared on load, but was able to get the barrel to the ball violently.  Stride was long and stayed on line.  Maintained good balance.  Lower half exploded to the ball.  Showed a great approach to the round, driving balls consistently.  Swing path was short.  Line drive stroke with power that should find the gaps consistently.  In the field, threw from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm action.  Throws were accurate.  Had clean footwork but waited on the ball at times.  Hands were soft.  Had an Positional Velocity of 76 mph.

Polansky is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound, Virginia Tech commit that has the ability to hit for both average and power.  He has power to all fields and advanced barrel control, always making hard contact.  His power projection makes him a definite prospect in the future.  In the field, Polansky has will be able to play either corner infield position.  He possesses good feet, soft hands, and an above average arm.
