8.9.17:  Mason is 5-10 with an athletic frame, drop and drive delivery throwing from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Short, quick arm action with some effort to his delivery. Shoulders closed and slightly uphill, lands closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 81-84, touching 85 with some downward plane. Showed changeup in warmups with some armspeed and fading action. Showed curveball in warmups with hard sharp 11/5 break and good armspeed. 

6.27.17:  Mason is 5-10 with an athletic frame and a strong lower half and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Short, quick arm action, throws with some effort. Shoulders closed and slightly uphill, lands closed and falls off a bit at finish. Fastball was 82-85 with some downward plane and late run to it. Curveball was 74-75 with some armspeed and late 11/5 break to it. Showed change-up in warmups, threw it with some armspeed and fading action.

2.18.17:  Mason is 5-10 with a strong lower half. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot from a short arm action with some effort. Shoulders level and closed, lands slightly closed and falls off at finish. Fastball was 80-82, touching 83 with late heavy sink. Curveball was 70-74 with gradual 11/5 break and good armspeed. Change-up was 76-77 with a bit of fade and good arm action. At the plate, hits from an open stance with a wide base, short stride on line with smooth load back. Explosive hips, longer path working uphill with extension through the ball. Pull approach with some strength, exit velocity was 80. In the infield, average footwork and average hands. Clean exchange, low three-quarters arm action with a short arm action, position velocity of 80.
