Saunders has an athletic frame that has gotten stronger since we last saw him. He is quick and covers ground in the outfield, arm is free with average arm strength. At the plate, loads down and back creating a longer path, but keeps hands inside and has some quickness in his bat. Has strength at contact point and extension through the ball suggesting that he has added power as he has added strength.

Saunders didn't have the best day at the plate from a results point of view but had four good at-bats and showed what his potential is. He is fast and has a quick bat that has started to show power this year. Projects to be a centerfield and leadoff-type hitter who can drive the ball to all fields for extra bases. Coasted to a 4.28 on a hard one-hopper to the mound. Beat out a chopped ball to short without a throw. Once he got to first the entire game changed as Chantilly tried to keep him there, eventually leading to a wild pitch before he could steal. In the outfield, gets a great first step and takes good routes as well.
2.18.17: Saunders is 5-5 and has an athletic frame, hits from a slightly open athletic stance. Strides on line with a smooth load back, good rhythm to swing. Explosive hips and good balance to swing. Short swing, working slightly uphill, line drive swing now with power potential, good extension through the ball, exit velocity was 82. In the outfield, gets behind ball and charges through it well, above average hands and very quick feet. Quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a quick arm, outfield velocity was 76. 60 time was 7.08.
