Curveball played 11/5, 63-65 mph. Changeup flashed at 72 mph. Left-handed hitter, tall setup, short stride, simple approach. Path is short and uphill, 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively profiles as a corner infielder, arm played at 75 mph, high ¾ slot. 7.45 runner in the 60.
7.7.17 - 6-foot, 215-pound right-handed pitcher. Short arm action from a high ¾ arm angle. Works exclusively out of the stretch, open landing. Works fast and pounds the strike zone Fastball sat 77-78 mph. Curveball worked 63-65 mph. Pitched a complete game allowing just three hits and one run over seven innings to go along with seven strikeouts.
3/12/17 - 6-foot, 215-pound left-handed hitting RHP/OF. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, stiff arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a square landing. Fastball sat 77-79 topping out at 80 mph. Curveball has 10-4 shape at 62-64 mph. Changeup has cutting action at 70-73 mph. At the plate hits from a closed setup with a toe tap stride. Short, uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 91 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.39. Threw 81 mph from the outfield.
10/30/16 - 6-foot, 205-pound left-handed hitting RHP/OF. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball was straight at 78-79 mph for strikes. Slows on curveball, has 11-5 shape at 60-62 mph. Showed feel for changeup maintaining fastball arm speed at 70-71 mph for strikes down in the zone. Offensively hits from a balanced, closed setup with a long toe tap stride. Pull, power hitter with stiff rhythm. Showed strength thru contact with 93 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.61. Took drills in the outfield and threw 79 mph.
7/13/16 - 6-foot, 205-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Works exclusively from the stretch. Tall and fall delivery, works in line with home plate. Fastball was firm at 77-78 mph for strikes. Curveball has 12-6 shape with gradual action at 58-60 mph.
