6/16/16 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound, switch-hitting outfielder with a lanky frame. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Accurate throws flashed some carry throwing 84 mph from the outfield. Fluid, athletic actions in the outfield with a clean exchange and soft hands. From the left side, hits from a balanced setup with a smooth load and short leg lift stride. Short, level swing path, showed strength thru contact with 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. From the right side has a toe tap stride and short swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 86 mph exit velocity. Ran the 60 at 7.14. 

3/13/16 - 5-foot-10, 145-pound switch-hitting OF/LHP with a lanky frame. Offensively, from the left side hits from a balanced, open stance with a short stride back to even. Line drive hitter with fluid rhythm. 82 mph exit velocity form a tee left handed. From the right side has a more linear setup with a smooth load and showed uphill path. Showed strength thru contact with 85 mph exit velocity from a tee right handed. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Plays thru the ball with a long exchange and fluid footwork. Threw 84 mph from the outfield. On the mound works form a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action and high draw out of the glove. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Smooth rhythm with an athletic finish. Fastball sat 78-80 mph. Curveball showed short breaking action with 1-7 shape at 69-71 mph. Changeup sat 70-73 mph.

7/31/15 - Swith-hitting outfield Carl Valk lead Team Wisconsin at the plate over the three games going a combined 4-7 at the plate. Valk has a small, athletic frame, ran the 60 at 7.06. In the outfield has a long, loose arm action from a ¾ arm angle. Threw 77 mph from the outfield. In games made a play going deep into the left centerfield gap to run down a flyball. Offensively from the left side hits from a balanced, slightly open stance. Smooth load to backside with extension thru contact. Showed 80 mph exit velocity from a tee left-handed. From the right side has a balanced setup with with a short swing path. 78 mph exit velocity from a tee right-handed.

6.24.15 - 5-foot-10, 140-pound athletic two-way player. Defensively the lefty has loose arm action from high ¾, and average strength. Showed soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, plays thru and is athletic in the field. Showed natural instincts. Threw 77 mph from outfield. Offensively the switch hitter showed a balanced setup, short stride, and good balance. Quick bat speed lefty and average righty. Takes uphill path and fluid rhythm. Exit velo 82 mph left and 83 mph right. Ran 7.48 60. On the mound the lefty throws from high ¾, long loose and wrapping arm action, easy effort, and tall-fall type. Showed some rhythm, in line direction, and athletic finish. Fastball was 71-74 mph, curveball was 67-69 mph with 1/7 shape, and changeup was 69-71 mph with some sink.

6/21/15 - 5-foot-10, 145-pound, switch-hitting outfielder with a small, athletic frame. Offensively hits form a crouched, slightly open stance. Showed a quick bat thru the zone, creating whip with good feel for the barrel. Showed a good feel for the strike zone and good plate coverage fighting off close pitches with two strikes. Despite size, makes very hard contact.

5/21/15 - Improved frame since last seeing him, longer frame with lengthy limbs, looks to project well, body moves loosely and athletically, carries himself well. Showed good feel in the outfield, good routes, confident defender, left handed thrower, foot speed will determine outfield spot. Switch hitter, swung the bat well from both sides in the game, showed the ability to switch sides mid game without missing on timing. Showed barrel control from both sides, quality at bat type of hitter. Went 3-for-4 with three clean singles. Only home to first time was a 4.58 on an E3 hard hit ball to first, can post better times.

3/15/15- Lanky build, 5-foot-10, 145-pound two-way prospect. Switch hitter at the plate with similar approaches from both sides. Utilizes short stride, quiet load, rotational approach; athletic hands, more whip generated from left side. Registered 81 mph exit velocity from right side; 83 from left. Defensively, shows fluid outfield actions, high-3/4 slot, clocked at 76 mph from outfield and ran a 7.31 60. On the mound, left-handed pitcher, works from high-3/4 slot with longer arm action. Tall and fall delivery, in-line direction. Fastball sat at 73-74 with slight run, consistent strikes. Slider ranged between 66-68 mph, more lateral sweep. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm action with similar fastball velocity, 70-72, with some running action.

3/16/14 - 5-foot-7, 130-pound switch hitting outfielder. Offensively hits from both sides, open stance, short stride, slightly dives, maintains balance. Solid bat path, mid to opposite field approach, contact type hitter. 73 mph exit velocity from both sides. Defensively plays through the baseball with a crow hop, some hesitations attacking the baseball, 4.43 runner home to first. Throws from the left side, arm action is long, 66 mph arm strength from the outfield.
