3/16/14 - 6-foot, 190-pound athletic two-way player with a strong frame that projects well. From the outfield he showed high quality, natural actions with quick footwork. Arm works short, over the top, 91 mph with strong carry. Ran a 4.41 home to first time. At the plate he hits from an open stance, short stride, solid lower half usage, above average balance. Has a line drive swing with fluid rhythm, quick bat speed. Exit velocity was 82 mph off the tee. On the mound he has a tall and fall delivery with some rhythm and effort. Arm works from over the top with clean action. Fastball was straight, sitting 80-82 mph. Showed feel for his breaking ball, throwing it with sweeping slurve action at 68-70 mph for strikes. Changeup was 78-80 mph with sinking action.

3/3/13 - Athletic make up, above average build,  6-foot, 180-pound outfielder. Defensively shows a plus potential arm from the outfield, 89 mph as a sophomore. Arm works from an over the top slot, shows accuracy, ball stays on line with carry. Plays through the baseball well, hands work, footwork is fluid. Offensively hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride, good balance throughout. Shows bat speed, path shows uphill tendencies, drops back elbow, 83 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Johnson is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete. He showed some bat speed creating slight whip through the zone.
