4/10/16 - Nebraska commit. 6-foot, 180-pound premium athlete, right handed hitting outfielder. Solid approach, loading action looks smoother and less susceptible. Fast bat, got the barrel to upper 80’s fastball inside, flashed hard contact, easy pop. 4.29 runner down the line.

2016 Super 60 - Nebraska recruit. 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, lean and wiry-strong quick-twitch athlete. Not the most heralded prospect at the Super 60, but proved that his tools match up with any of the position players in attendance. Ran a 6.85 60 and registered an event-best 92 mph velocity from the outfield (in June at the PBR ProCase, he ran a 6.78 and was 95 from the outfield). Defensively, has true outfield actions, moves fluidly and confidently to the ball, accurate throws with plus carry. Offensively, generates easy bat speed with minimal stride/load, maintains excellent balance through contact, stays through the ball well; ball jumped off the barrel to all fields; registered 91 mph exit velocity.
9.5.15 - Physical, athletic right-handed hitting outfielder flashed an impressive skillset both in the field and at the plate. Flashed his big arm in the fifth inning, throwing a seed from right-field to third-base, gunning down the runner trying to go first-to-third. In the bottom half of the 6th inning hit a missile that one-hopped the left field wall for a stand up double.  Has plus bat speed, makes loud contact and rhythm and looseness throughout swing. Committed to Nebraska.
6/23/15 - The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Acker was the biggest surprise at the ProCase, leaving many in attendance wondering how the right-handed hitting outfielder was still uncommitted. Acker had the most impressive outfield performance of the day. In the workout portion, Acker turned heads by delivering the top outfield velocity of 95 mph while running a 6.78 laser-timed 60. Offensively, he generated the easiest bat speed at the event, hitting from a balanced, controlled setup with a slightly uphill path. During BP, Acker tanked a few balls out of Silver Cross Field with wood (with the wind blowing in). A quick-twitch athlete, Acker has strong hands and creates lift in his swing. Acker also carried his standout workout performance into game play. He went 2-for-3 with a pair of line-drive singles to centerfield and left field. He also drove in a run, scored twice and stole a base.

5.9.15 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound outfielder, athletic frame, lean body with strength. Defensively showed well above average arm strength from the outfield, arm carries, long over the top slot, 93 mph arm from the outfield. Plays through the baseball, typical outfield actions, high level defender. Offensively hits from the right side, athletic setup, good balance. Explosive bat speed, coils load, can get long, slight uphill path. Power bat, 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. 6.96 runner in the 60. Acker is one of the top outfield prospects available in the Midwest.
3/16/14 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound two-way player, athletic build. One of the top outfield prospects in the Class of 2016. Offensively hits from the right side, balanced stance, taller setup, smooth loading action and short stride. Advanced bat path, short to the baseball with extension, loose athletic hands, repeats his swing well, maintains excellent balance through contact. Posted 97 mph exit velocity from the tee, projects as a high level hitter. Defensively arm action is long and over the top, produces carry, 85 mph arm strength from the outfield. Has the athleticism to play through the baseball better. Acker has the ability to be a high level offensive threat and is another high level prospect in a strong 2016 class. Fastball sits 79-81 mph, long arm action, showed some feel for the zone. Curveball has 12/6 shape, some depth, slow roller with some depth, 62-65 mph. Aggressive changeup at 76-78 mph.

10/19/13 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound outfielder, athletic build. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, smooth loading action, short stride. Lower half works with solid balance. Excellent hands, advanced bat path, short to the baseball with extension, line drive gap to gap tendencies. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee, hard contact. Defensively uses an athletic crow hop in the outfield, plays through the baseball, feet work well. 7.18 runner in the 60. Arm action is long, over the top slot, accurate arm, 84 mph arm from the outfield. On the infield showed solid actions, similar arm action to that in the outfield, 72 mph across the infield.
