6/11/16 - Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 34th round.

5/1/16 - Illinois commit. 6-foot-4, 210-pound right-handed pitcher, extra-large frame, sturdy. Continuing to show some of his best stuff this spring. Short over the top arm action, repeats and pounds the zone, advanced command for his age. Fastball spotted up on both sides of the plate, topped at 89 mph. Swing and miss 12/6 curveball thrown aggressively.

4/23/16 - Illinois commit. Extra-large frame, durable pitchers body, 6-foot-5, 215-pound right handed pitcher. Followed up one of his best outings we’ve seen out of him earlier this spring. Hides fastball with short over the top arm action, gets on hitters quickly, sat 86-88 mph in the first, showed command working both sides of the plate. Hard biting action on curveball, swing and miss type, 72-74 mph. Advanced changeup action, 75-76 mph. Showed confidence in all three and used accordingly, high pitchability guy.

4/12/16 - Illinois commit. 6-foot-5, 215-pound right-handed pitcher, typical pitchers frame, extra-large, sturdy frame, wide shouldered. Easily the best outing we’ve seen from Weber. Short over the top arm action, quick arm, gets on hitters quickly. Fastball is straight, four seam action with tilt, works downhill, sat 86-89 mph, swing and miss fastball. Hard 12/6 curveball, plus potential pitch, 75-77 mph, hard biting action, swing and miss stuff with feel to drop it for strikes. First outing of the year, showed stuff that could make a late draft push.

3/28/15 - 6-foot-4, 210-pound, right-handed pitcher with a large frame and wide shoulders. On the mound shoed a loose arm action with easy effort from an over the top arm slot. Balanced delivery with a slight cross fire and level shoulders thru delivery. Worked 82-84 topping out at 85 mph in his outing. Changeup sat 72-74 mph.
2/9/14 - 6-foot-4, 205-pound, right handed pitcher, large frame, wide shoulders and long legs, advanced frame. Tall and fall delivery, easy effort, slower tempo, works directionally downhill, short stride. Arm action is short, over the top arm slot. Fastball works on downhill plane, heavy feel with late action, sat at 82 mph, showed control of the zone. Changeup has arm side run, occasional sink, 69-71 mph, feel for the zone, advanced pitch. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 68-70 mph, lacked depth, have seen his curveball better, has 12/6 potential with depth. Weber is a high level recruit in Wisconsin’s deep 2016 class.
7/23/13 - Advanced frame, 6-foot-5, 215-pound right handed pitcher, prototypical pitchers build. Weber is one of the top right handed pitchers in Wisconsin’s 2016 class. Multi-sport athlete. Weber works from a full windup, tall and fall delivery, upright finish. Arm action is short, over the top slot, arm shows above average quickness. Improved fastball velocity since last seeing Weber in January, up to 83 mph, 80-82 mph, downhill plane, worked down in the zone. Curveball had 12/6 action, showed control, 69-73 mph, threw aggressively. Also featured a change up at 73 mph. Weber has grown in size and strength since the spring and has added to his fastball. If he can continue to progress at this pace he will certainly be a high level prospect.
1/27/13 - Typical pitchers frame, long limbs, lanky build, 6-foot-3, 175-pound right handed pitcher. Projects more on the mound, delivery works from a full windup, hands have excellent rhythm, tall and fall approach, gets on top and works downhill. Overall rhythm is smooth, shows good direction, athletic finish. Arm works with little effort, loose arm action, over the top arm slot. Fastball sits 79-80 mph, shows control at the bottom of the zone, late downward action, pitches downhill. Curveball has high ceiling, thrown for strikes, 11/5 action while flashing occasional 12/6 break, projects as 12/6 downer with depth, 65-66 mph, shows feel for the pitch. Changeup has action, fading action, thrown with command, decelerates arm speed. Projects as one of the top pitchers in his class. Offensively, hits from a balanced setup, short stride. Short bat path, drops barrel head to baseball, occasional pop.
