Renner is a 6-foot, 200-pound C/3B from University HS. He hit .411 with four home runs and 26 RBI in 2012. Renner went on to his .523 with 28 RBI and five home runs in 2013.
2/15/14 Renner is a solidly built 6-foot, 200-pound unsigned senior that registered a 4.15 home-to-1B time. He demonstrated some gap power potential and the ability to consistently drive the baseball with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Renner showcased a 78 mph arm across the diamond and the ability to make all plays. Although he is a primary catcher, Renner showed the athleticism to play multiple infield positions as well. Renner showcased pop times of 2.12-2.19 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch behind the plate.
1/12/14 Renner showed the top pop times among catchers at the event at 2.03-2.10 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch. He displayed a quick transition and little wasted movement on throws to 2B. Renner is a 6-foot, 185-pound unsigned senior who is most impressive at the plate. He displayed the ability to consistently barrel the baseball and some pop in his bat with a bat exit velocity of 88 mph.
9/29/13 Renner is a 6-foot, 185-pound athletic backstop that showcased pop times of 2.02-2.09 on throws of 70 mph out of the crouch. The right-handed hitter hits out of a slightly open stance and uses very strong wrists and forearms to create barrel whip and a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Renner barreled the baseball routinely in batting practice and showcased the ability to drive the baseball to all fields.
7/16/13 Renner showcased his versatility at three positions (C/3B/2B). The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect ran a 7.41 60-yard dash and showed a 74 mph arm across the diamond. Renner displayed athletic actions behind the plate with pop times of 2.01-2.06 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch. The right-handed hitter utilized a high hands load along with a lift and replace stride foot to create an 88 mph bat exit velocity. Renner showed good pop and the ability to drive the baseball with regularity during his round of batting practice.
