In sending off the 2023 Class, Prep Baseball presents the Top-150 'On Campus' Rankings, but first, here are some notes regarding these freshmen as they begin to integrate themselves into their new home dugouts:

• While LSU’s quantity of players is not as prevalent as it was a year ago, the quality still shines led by the top overall player to make it to campus, LHP Cam Johnson. In total, the Tigers’ class features five players in the Top-100 and four in the Top-50. Similarly, Mississippi State packs a punch as the lone school with multiple players in the Top-10 (No. 8 SS Dylan Cupp and No. 10 RHP Mikhai Grant) and feature four in the Top-100.
• UCLA features the most balanced and impressive class in the country with three in the Top-25, including No. 7-ranked SS Roch Cholowsky, No. 11 SS Roman Martin, and No. 21 RHP Justin Lee. This group of young Bruins features an astounding eight(!) players in the Top-100 overall.
• Tennessee’s ability to develop talent, especially in recent years, is likely to be seen again with regards to this class. Among the nine players featured on the list, four are inside the Top-100 with talented LHPs like No. 23-ranked Brayden Sharp and No. 33 Matthew Dallas holding considerable upside.
• Although there is clearly significant weight in the Power Five conferences, there are still eight non-P5 conferences featured in the Top-150, representing 14 different schools.
• It is important to note that this list is dependent on the talent evaluation and upside identified by Prep Baseball’s numerous boots-on-the-ground staff, and signifies the recruiting acumen of each school and staff. The player rankings that are released prior to the 2026 MLB Draft should be held as most indicative of the development received by the players.
