EVENT INFORMATION

The 23rd annual Super 60 Pro Showcase will be held Sunday, Feb. 2 at The MAX in McCook, Ill.

This prestigious, invitation-only event features only the top draft prospects in the Prep Baseball's expansive coverage area. Over the last 20-plus years, the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for its assembly of MLB Draft prospects, signaling the start of the season's march to the draft itself. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts, crosscheckers and scouting directors a head start to the high school season. The event is for draft-eligible Class of 2025 prospects.

Last year's event saw the Super 60 rise to even greater heights with more than $17 million in signing bonuses from players in attendance, including eventual San Diego Padres first-round selection, LHP Kash Mayfield (Elk City, OK), who was drafted at pick No. 25 overall. And one of the biggest winners at the 2024 event was SS Tyson Lewis (Millard West, NE), and he vaulted himself from the Super 60 into strong spring season that earned him an over-slot signing bonus from pick No. 51 with the Cincinnati Reds.

Roughly one-third of the players at the 2024 event were drafted, with others opting to maximize value after three years on campus. Among those players who decided to head to campus include the top two draftees not to sign: SS Tyler Bell (Lincoln-Way East, IL; No. 66 overall pick, Kentucky commit) and RHP Chris Levonas (Christian Brothers, NJ; No. 67, Wake Forest).

The Super 60 Pro Showcase has hosted some of baseball's top prep talent while serving as the first stop along the year's MLB Draft circuit. The 2023 Super 60 featured the eventual No. 3 overall pick Max Clark (Franklin Community, IN), the No. 44 pick Blake Wolters (Mahomet-Seymour, IL), and the No. 50 pick Nazzan Zanetello (Christian Brothers College, MO), among others who went on to be selected and eventually sign like Sam Shaw (Lambrick Park, BC, Canada) and George Wolkow (Downers Grove North, IL).

The 2022 Super 60 helped forecast some prospects who have since gone on to shine collegiately as only freshmen, like a pair of Wisconsin prospects Gavin Kilen (Louisville; Janesville Craig) and Mitchell Voit (Michigan; Whitefish Bay), as well as Gage Harrelson (Texas Tech; Houston County, GA), Chris Maldonado (Vanderbilt; Seton Hall Prep, NJ), Ross Highfill (Mississippi State; Madison Central, MS), Zach Crotchfelt (Auburn; Jackson Memorial, NJ), and Easton Carmichael (Oklahoma; Prosper, TX), among many others. The '22 Super 60 also helped vault several other prospects directly into the pro ranks, like Tommy Specht (Wahlert Catholic, IA), Luke Adams (Hinsdale Central, IL), Ben Brutti (South Kingstown, RI), and Gage Stanifer (Westfield, IN).

In the 2021 MLB Draft, catcher Henry Davis (Louisville; Fox Lane, NY) was selected No. 1 overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Davis attended the 2018 Super 60 showcase, alongside RHP Ryan Cusick (Avon Old Farms, CT), who also heard his name called in the first round of the '21 Draft. Meanwhile, the 2021 Super 60 has several intriguing names on its roster who remained pro prospects in college, none more interesting than Braden Montgomery (Madison Central, MS), who went on to become the No. 12 overall pick in the most recent MLB Draft, selected by the Red Sox.

In total, nine Super 60 alumni have been drafted within the first three rounds in the last three years, including RHP/SS Owen Murphy (Riverside-Brookfield, IL), SS Noah Miller (Ozaukee, WI), RHP Spencer Schwellenbach (Saginaw Heritage, MI), C Carter Jensen (Park Hill, MO), and 3B Alex Binelas (Oak Creek, WI), in addition to the aforementioned three from 2023's event.

The '23 draftees soon joined the likes of Davis, Gavin Lux (Kenosha Indian Trail, WI), Jarred Kelenic (Waukesha West, WI), and Alek Thomas (Mount Carmel, IL) as former, recent Super 60 participants who have since begun to thrive in the pro ball setting. We're excited to see which of the '24s in attendance go on to garner the attention of Major League organizations in the lead-up to July's MLB Draft, further bolstering the impact of this esteemed preseason event.

SCOUTING, TECHNOLOGY, AND DATA ANALYSIS IN ONE EVENT

Prep Baseball Player Profile prep-baseball-seal-YT-600px-jpg
+ Expand to learn more

Each prospect's recruiting process starts and ends with the Player Profile, and our showcases revolve around building up that profile, maximizing its content and reach. For first-time attendees, a new player profile will be created, hosting all of your information, videos, head shot, metrics and more, making it one of the most important tools in a prospect's recruiting process.

Repeat showcase performances will continue to update your player profile, creating a history of prospect progress and ensuring the most up-to-date information is easily accessible throughout the fast-paced scouting community. These profiles are also searchable by a range of data points and metrics through our advanced search engine, making it a one-stop shop for recruiters and scouts.

Player Data prep-baseball-seal-YT-600px-jpg

Prep Baseball stats captured at its showcases, published inside its player profiles, are the industry standard in the scouting community, carrying the highest level of credibility in actionable data. Prep Baseball profiles are the most reliable resources for prospect information due to this reason alone.

Stats are collected using only the highest of standard equipment including Swift laser timers, TrackMan ball tracking technology, Blast Motion swing sensors, and Stalker radars. All stats are hosted in player profiles accompanied by Performance Tiers that show where a prospect ranks among his peers.

Body Composition

Players' body composition will be officially measured using state-of-the-art, medical-grade technology that will provide precise insights into height, weight, skeletal muscle mass, BMI and more. Players will step on scales using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), a method for measuring body composition, including muscle mass, body fat, and total body water.

Our scales will then produce several metrics giving insight into the prospect’s body composition. Height will be measured using a digital stadiometer to get precise height measurements.

Grip Strength

Hitters' grip strength will be tested using a digital hydraulic dynamometer. Grip strength is an essential component to bat strength and controlling the barrel. Hitters will be put through a max strength test on both hands, shedding light on hand strength and potential power and bat control down the road.
