We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Alberta's 2019 Edmonton Showcase. Our first event in Edmonton since our Top Prospect Games took place earlier this month. Participants were taken through an indoor workout at the Turf Training Center including; defensive evaluations, batting practice, exit velocity and bullpens. There were some exciting new prospects out of the Edmonton area that should soon be making their way into our rankings including some quality young arms, impacts bats and uncommitted seniors. PBR Alberta would like to thank all of the players who participated and we will now take a look at a few of the young prospects who stood out this past Saturday.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

2019 Edmonton Showcase - Sneak Peek

The Arms

The Arms

  • 2020 Ryan Estey out of Prospects Academy was an obvious standout on the mound as far as overall stuff is concerned. Ran the fastball up to 84 mph on a few pitches, 4-seam has some late action and comes out the hand well when timing is on. Good hard breaking ball, struggled a bit with command but showed he could spot it at the knees. Quick arm action, strength is definitely there, athletic and fluid movements.
