AHSAA Players of the Week: April 1-6

April 1-6  AHSAA Players of the Week:

Twelve players from across the state make our "Player of the Week" for the first week of April as many had big performances in key area game.

Rhett Lemay (2019, RHP, Priceville) The senior has a 7 inning complete game win, allowing only 2 hits and 1 earned run. He also struck out 10. 

Cole Smiths (2021, SS, Priceville) The sophomore had an impressive week at the plate going 5- on the week. He has 2 2B's to go along with 2 RBI's, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. 

Jacob Cravey (2020, RHP/1B, Andalusia) The 6'6 Cravey went 7 innings versus Wetumpka getting the win while only allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run. The junior recorded 8 K's as well. 

Mason Mohon (2019, SS, Piedmont) Mohon was 9 -19 on the week with 4 2B's. He scored 7 runs and also drove in 8 runs. 

Brant Deerman (2020, 2B, Piedmont) The other side of the Piedmont middle infield is junior Brant Deerman. He was 9-18 for the week with 2 2B's, 1 HR, 6 runs scored and 8 RBI's,  

Slade Brown (2020, C, Lauderdale County) A monster week for Brown as he was 8-13 at the plate. Of the 8 hits, 3 were 3B's and and 2 were HR's, including a grand slam. For the week, the junior catcher drove in 14 runs.

Cam Hill (2020, LHP/1B, Bob Jones) Hill continues to put up big numbers in 2019. Offensively he was 10-15 on the week with 2 HR's, 2 2B's, 7 RBI's and scored 8 runs. On the mound he threw 6 innings and allowed 4 hits while striking out 4 and did not allow a run a win on the mound. 

Dylan Ray (2020, RHP/OF, Bob Jones) Ray had a very good week for the Patriots. He was 8-17 at the plate with 2 2B's, 1 HR and 11 RBI's while scoring 2 runs. He threw 2 innings on the mound and allowed no runs on 1 hit with 4 K's while gaining a win. 

Sterling Evilsizer (2019, OF/RHP, Smiths Station) Evilsizer was 6-10 on the week with 1 2B, 1 3B and 2 RBI's for the Panthers.

Christian Herberholz (2019, RHP/OF, Scottsboro) The senior was 6-11 at the plate with 6 RBI's, including 1 HR and a 2B. He was also 1-0 on the mound with a complete game win, allowing 2 hits and striking out 7. 

Brycen Parrish (2020, RHP, SS, Wilson) Parrish threw a 7 inning complete game shutout allowing only 4 hits and did not issue a walk. He also had 10 K's. At the plate, he was 2-3 with a 2B.

Tate Marr (2020, C, Millry) The junior catcher was 5-10 on the week with 2 HR's (one being a grand slam) and 1 3B. He also had 7 RBI's on the week,
