OUTLOOK:

The Bucks move from 7A to 6A in 2019 and look to some veteran players to lead the way this season. Coach Roger Wright and his team will be in Area 16 competing with Hazel Green, Lee and Jemison in hopes of securing a spot in the 6A state playoffs after losing out on a tiebreaker in 2018 (7A). The Bucks return an experienced group and should be solid in the field but will be looking for more offensive production in their lineup. Jacob Parr, a 2019 1B/3B (Purdue signee) is one of those guys the Bucks will be looking for to lead the charge offensively. At 6’5 210 lbs, he has power to all fields. Trey Wright (2019) is a two way threat for the Bucks as he will play 1B when he is not on the mound. He commands a mid 80’s fastball but it is his secondary stuff that separates him from some others. Wright is a Tennessee Tech signee (as a RHP). Lance Clardy is another 2019 that doubles as an OF and LHP. Clardy has shown a strong arm from the OF and the ability to be a force at the plate. He may also be counted on as a LHP this season for the Bucks with a FB in the mid 80’s. Logan Malone is a 2020 SS that started for the Bucks in 2018 as a sophomore and will be counted on even more in 2019. Cameron Stewart is a 2019 OF that has played a bunch of games for the Bucks and should be an RBI producer this season as he has shown juice at the plate over the years. Derrick Jackson is the returning catcher from the 2018 season. The 2020 grad is solid behind the plate and will also be looked  on to provide a bat in the middle of the order. Alex Hall is a 2019 LHP that can really create some action on all of his pitches. Parr (#32- '19), Wright (#24- '19), Clardy (#75- '19) and Jackson (#38- '20) are all in the respective class rankings. The Bucks need Hall to be a force on the mound from the left side. Look for the Bucks to be a formidable opponent for anyone this year. Their area series versus Hazel Green, the defending 6A state champ and big rival, should make for some big time baseball.
