Another low to the ground player on the infield with nice club presentation and plenty of arm strength across the diamond. A very solid defender. On the mound  he showed a very loose arm action with ASR on his FB that was up to 80 mph with a tight spin on his breaking ball. At the plate he starts with a narrow square stance and creates some launch in the swing but was predominantly a line drive guy during BP. He did use all fields during his round. A very interesting 2022 to keep an eye on.

Trey Mooney (2021, RHP/3B, Oxford) 6’2 198 lbs- 1.20.19-  solid fundamentals on the infield and really played low to the ground. Very solid mechanics on the mound and didn’t throw a FB under 84 mph and topped at 86 mph. The slider has very tight spin and is a true out pitch with big time bite.   Uses his lower half very well and should continue to progress into a big time arm in the 2021 class.

He will continue to get stronger over the years but the fundamentals are definitely there. Showed a quiet load from both sides of the plate and a middle of the field approach. Matt Manley (2023, RHP/SS, Madison Academy) 5’10 135 lbs- 1.20.19-  A very nice 2023 prospect that should continue to progress as strength and physicality continues. Already had solid fundamentals and skills. Low to the ground player on the infield with nice body control and glove presentation. Very slight open stance with a toe tap approach at the plate. Does a nice job loading the hands and keeping them inside the ball on the swing.  This makes for a short compact approach resulting in a middle of the field offensive game. Has some tilt in the swing. On the mound, he pounded the zone with all of his pitches and showed a plus change up with some tumble. The FB had nice down action and he located very well.
