MILLBROOK, AL - The All-State Open was held on Tuesday, June 28th at Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, AL. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2023 and 2026 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion to record hitting metrics. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.

Wrapping up our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look at each pitcher that attended this week's event. 

Wyatt Baldwin, Hazel Green (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-11, 162-pounds. Thin frame. Plenty of room for continued physical development.
Delivery: Athletic delivery, drop and drive lower-half down the mound with a quick upper body through release.
Arm Action: RH. Long, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 80.0-82.6 mph. Showed late life through the zone with ASR action at times. T2330, 2252 average rpm.
CB: 69.4-72.3 mph. Late 11/5 action and feel that he commanded well to the gloveside. T2428, 2210 average rpm.
SL: 71.6-72.6 mph. Gradual 10/4 shape with sweeping action T2413, 2218 average rpm.
CH: 74.6-76.8 mph. Sink towards the bottom of the zone with near fastball arm-speed. T1673, 1626 average rpm.

Jack Bryson, Marbury (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: SS/2B Solid 2-way showing at the event.
Body: 5-10, 155-pounds. Athletic, lean frame.
Delivery: Compact, repeatable delivery, uses the lower half very well.
Arm Action: RH. Short, quick arm action. Hides the ball well, High 3/4 slot.
FB: T84.9, 83.1-84.7 mph. Flashed legit, late arm-side run. T2468, 2328 average rpm.
CB: 72.9-75.0 mph. Sharp. late 11/5 action, showed feel for the pitch.  T2316, 2056 average rpm.
CH: Solid fading action into RH hitters. T1608, 1608 average rpm.

Ian Cartwright, Alexandria (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: OF/3B
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Solid, durable frame.
Delivery: Up tempo, drop and drive lower-half with a repeatable delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Quick, shorter arm action from a low 3/4 slot.
FB: T83.3, 80.2-82.5 mph. Generally straight, flashed cut at times. T2365, 2230 average rpm.
SL: 71.1-73.3 mph. Gradual 11/5 shape with feel for the zone. Late tilt. T2404, 2359 average rpm.
CH: 72.4-74.6 mph. Flashed arm-side fade. T2376, 1857 average rpm.

Evan Duncan, Stanhope Elmore (AL), 2023
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Intriguing uncommitted '23 grad.
Body: 6-6, 220-pounds. Strong, durable frame, strength throughout the frame.
Delivery: Athletic leg-kick, tall and fall delivery down the mound, strides in-line.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, arm action from a high 3/4 slot. Consistent arm path.
FB: T85.9, 84.8-85.9 mph. The pitch really comes out of the hand well and showed some late life, generally 4-seam action.  T2199, 2172 average rpm.
SL: 75.4-76.2 mph. Late, sharp action, taking 11/5 shape.  T1833, 1502 average rpm.
CH:  mph. Generally straight with solid deception (splitter action). T1203, 1203 average rpm.

Romney Henry, Stanhope Elmore (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 165-pounds. Athletic build. Broad shoulders.
Delivery: Simple, controlled, tall and fall delivery, works on-line and lands front-toe closed
Arm Action: RH. Loose, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T74.5, 70.3-73.4 mph. Mostly straight but commanded the zone very well with the pitch.  T1902, 1821 average rpm.
CB: 54.5-56.2 mph. Solid 12/6 shape with command to the bottom half of the zone.  T1934, 1884 average rpm.
CH: 64.0-66.1 mph. Same arm speed with late tumble. T1181, 1072 average rpm.

Barrett Hill, East Lawrence (AL), 2024 
Positional Profile: 
Body: 6-0, 155-pounds. Plenty of room for continued growth.
Delivery: Smooth tempo, athletic, strides in-line.
Arm Action: . Longer, over-the-top slot.
FB: T76.4, 72.5-75.6 mph. Generally straight with feel for locating the pitch around the zone. T1766, 1654 average rpm.
CB:  58.2- 61.1 mph.  Gradual 12/6 shape with command to the gloveside T1714, 1616 average rpm.
CH: Flashed arm-side fade..

Carson Lucas, Horseshoe bend (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 5-10, 131-pounds. Thin frame. Length through torso.
Delivery: Compact delivery, tall and fall down the mound, short stride with foot landing square.
Arm Action: RH. Longer, loose, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T80, 76.4-80.0 mph. Flashed consistent arm-side action.  T1865, 1629 average rpm.
CB: 64.6-67.0 mph. Gradual 11/5 shape, kept down in the zone with some feel. T2425, 2243 average rpm.

Anderson Murray, Montgomery (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 5-6, 125-pounds. Athletic build, well proportioned.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery utilizing the lower half well.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, shorter high 3/4 slot.
FB: T79, 74.6-78.2 mph. Seemed to cut the pitch, high-volume of strikes. T2218, 2025 average rpm.
CB: 62.0-63.9 mph. Gradual, solid shape showing sweeping action. T1871, 1811 average rpm.
CH: 67.3-73.9 mph. Sink and kept down in the zone. T1768, 1733 average rpm.
