A plethora of quality infielders went through the pro style workout on June 16 in Birmingham. There was plenty of arm strength on display to match the impressive glovework. In addition to solid defensive skills, several infielders showed well during the offensive portion of the workout as well, while others jumped on the mound to throw a pen. Today, let's take a look at those infielders at the event.  

Drew Cashin: RHP/3B, (2022) New Brockton, AL. 5-foot-11, 215-pound sturdy frame. In the box, Cashins best exit velocity was 87 mph. Bat speed is quick and shows uphill swing plane. Was able to create tons of loud contact and found lots of barrels.Pull side approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.7. Projectable on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Showed some effort in his delivery. a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 83-84 mph with a max of 84 mph. Curveball (65-66 mph), changeup (70-71 mph), slider (75-76 mph).

Mason Swinney: SS/RHP, (2022) Phil Campbell, AL. 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 86 mph. Setup consists of athletic stance and a controlled stride. Had quick bat speed. Barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Smooth in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 86 mph. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.22 at the event. 

Braden Booth: 3B/RHP, (2024) Bob Jones, AL. 6-foot, 170-pound projectable frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 79 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride just before his swing. Bat speed was quick. Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Pull side approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 83 mph. Had consistent accuracy to the base with a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.98 at the event. On the mound, threw his fastball 77-79 mph with a max of 79 mph. Curveball (65-66 mph), changeup (70-71 mph).

Walton Reid: SS/RHP, (2022) Florence, AL. 6-foot-2, 150-pound lean frame. During batting practice, Reid clocked an exit velocity of 80 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Simple swing plane. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 82 mph. Had consistent accuracy. Clocked a 60 time of 7.68 at the event. Fluid on the mound, produced a fastball that came in at 80-82 mph with a max of 83 mph. Curveball (70-71 mph), changeup (75-76 mph).

Cole Loftis: RHP/3B, (2022) Hayden, AL. 5-foot-10, 165-pound projectable frame. At the plate, Loftis had a max exit velocity of 76 mph. Starts in an open stance with a tight load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is average and has simple swing plane. Found some barrels in his rounds. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 82 mph. Used a high ¾ slot with a long arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.39. On the mound, throws from a ¾ angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows max effort. Changeup (76-78 mph).Sat with his fastball at 81-82 mph and topped out at 82 mph; showed cutting action and arm side command. Shows late action on his sharp curveball (68-69). 

Jaxon Milam: SS/RHP, (2023) Russell County, AL. 6-foot-1, 155-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Milam recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in an open stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Had uphill swing plane, and his bat speed was quick. Through his round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 82 mph. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Recorded a time of 7.32 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, has a quick arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Showed some effort in his delivery. Threw his fastball 81-82 mph and topped out at 82 mph. Curveball (60-61 mph), changeup (70-71 mph).

Connor Aderholt: RHP/SS, (2022) Shelby County, AL. 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Aderholt recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a controlled stride. Bat speed was some, and showed simple swing plane. Found some barrels through his round. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 81 mph. Had consistent accuracy. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.52. On the mound, threw his fastball 81-82 mph with a max of 82 mph. Curveball (68-71 mph), changeup (70-71 mph).

Kaleb Heatherly: 1B/RHP, (2022) Cullman, AL. 6-foot-6, 240-pound physical frame. During batting practice, Heatherly had an exit velocity of 96 mph, showing his ability to drive the ball with power. Started in a tall stance then used a leg kick. Has explosive bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Aggressive approach. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 81 mph. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.16. Projectable on the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and quick arm speed. Showed some effort in his delivery. Sat with his fastball at 81-82 mph with a max of 82 mph. Curveball (69-71 mph), changeup (75-76 mph).

Breyton Cornelius: 3B/RHP, (2022) Baker, AL. 6-foot, 188-pound solid frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled stride. Bat speed is some and has uphill swing plane. He created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 81 mph. Had consistent accuracy. Recorded a time of 7.44 in the 60-yard dash. 

Timothy Lambert: SS/RHP, (2023) Robert E Lee, AL. 5-foot-10, 205-pound mature frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.5. Begins in a balanced stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride before his swing. Upward rotational swing plane. He Barreled up multiple balls during the round. Pull side approach. Lambert clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 80 mph. Used an-over-the-top slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, used a ¾ angle. Used easy effort in his delivery. Curveball (67-68 mph), changeup (68-69 mph).Threw his fastball 78-80 mph with a max of 81 mph; shows late action with heavy movement. 

Lane Griggs: 2B/3B, (2023) Russell County, AL. 5-foot-10, 165-pound mature frame. Clocked a time of 7.76 in the 60-yard dash. Has a controlled load and a quick stride. Has efficient bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up some balls during the round. Pull side approach. Griggs recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 80 mph. Had a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. up-temp type pitcher. Shows a clean finish. Curveball (62-63 mph), changeup (68-69 mph).Sat with his fastball at 78-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; had running action and very consistent control. 

Matt Johnson: SS/RHP, (2022) Moody, AL. 6-foot-3, 160-pound lean frame. In the box, Johnsons best exit velocity was 88 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is quick. He Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 80 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.14. Projectable on the mound, threw his fastball 77-78 mph and topped out at 80 mph. Curveball (58-59 mph).

John Robicheaux: 3B/RHP, (2024) Mountain Brook, AL. 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 78 mph. Had a balanced stance. Simple swing plane. He created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 80 mph. Had decent accuracy. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.21. On the mound, produced a fastball that came in at 78-79 mph and topped out at 79 mph. Changeup (68-71 mph).

Jackson Hunter: RHP/3B, (2024) Hazel Green, AL. 6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Hunters best exit velocity was 83 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride just before his swing. Has above average bat speed. In the round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Up the middle approach. Smooth while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 79 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.57. Fluid on the mound, has a ¾ angle. Used some effort in his delivery. Threw his fastball 80-81 mph with a max of 81 mph. Curveball (71-72 mph), changeup (75-76 mph).

Mikel Booth: 3B/RHP, (2023) Bob Jones, AL. 6-foot-1, 175-pound solid frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 85 mph. Bat speed is efficient and displays uphill swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 79 mph. Had consistent accuracy. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.45. On the mound, threw his fastball 74-77 mph and topped out at 78 mph. Curveball (63-66 mph).

Carson Smith: 3B/RHP, (2024) North Jackson, AL. 5-foot-8, 175-pound solid frame. In the box, Smiths best exit velocity was 80 mph. Has a controlled load then a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, displays upward swing plane and high finish. Was able to create tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels.Gap to gap approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 78 mph. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.77. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 80-81 mph with a max of 81 mph. Curveball (68-72 mph).

Nolan Fairley: 3B/RHP, (2023) Glencoe, AL. 5-foot-10, 170-pound proportional frame. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.6. Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride to start his swing. Bat speed was efficient, and had short simple swing plane. He created some loud contact during his round. Gap to gap approach. the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 78 mph. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph. Fluid on the mound, has above average arm speed. Sat with his fastball at 77-78 mph with a max of 78 mph; showed fading action and low in the zone command. Throws a 11/5 curveball (65-66). His changeup (63-64) had fading action. 

Luke Hyche: C/RHP, (2022) Briarwood Christian, AL. 6-foot-1, 185-pound solid frame. During batting practice, Hyches best exit velocity was 79 mph. Setup included a smooth load and balanced stance. Simple swing plane. He found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Smooth in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 77 mph. Had consistent accuracy. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.24. Above average on the mound, threw his fastball 76-78 mph with a max of 79 mph. Curveball (67-68 mph).

Dylan Tiede: SS/RHP, (2022) Madison Academy, AL. 6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. Sets up an athletic stance. Bat speed was above average. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 77 mph. Showed consistent accuracy to the bases. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.81. On the mound, shows a quick arm action. Has a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-77 mph with a max of 78 mph. Curveball (58-59 mph), changeup (56-59 mph).

Jake Hammonds: SS/2B, (2022) Sylacauga, AL. 6-foot, 150-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 81 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a quick stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed was efficient, and showed simple swing plane. Through his round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 77 mph. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.43. 

Sean Lapinskes: SS/RHP, (2024) Westminster, AL. 5-foot-8, 150-pound projectable frame. At the plate, Lapinskes clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Setup consisted of athletic stance and a controlled stride. Bat speed is some and displays simple swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Base hit approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 76 mph. Had consistent accuracy. Clocked a 60 time of 7.71 at the event. Projectable on the mound, threw his fastball 77-78 mph and topped out at 79 mph. Curveball (63-64 mph), changeup (64-65 mph).

Jared Kaplan: SS/RHP, (2022) Chelsea, AL. 5-foot-9, 155-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Kaplan recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled stride. Had uphill swing plane and quick bat speed. He Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 76 mph. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with a ¾ slot. Clocked a 60 time of 7.47 at the event. 

Ryan Kelley: 2B/RHP, (2022) Baker, AL. 5-foot-6, 150-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Kelley had an exit velocity of 81 mph. Began in a quiet stance with a tight load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Has rotational swing plane and has level finish. In his round he found a couple of barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Smooth in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph. Showed a loose arm action and consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 8.36 at the event. Projectable on the mound, showed consistent balance point. Sat with his fastball at 77-78 mph and topped out at 78 mph. Curveball (74-75 mph), changeup (74-75 mph).

Logan Norris: SS/RHP, (2023) UMS-Wright, AL. 5-foot-9, 155-pound projectable frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.52. Began in a quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride before his swing. Ended his swing with level finish. Found some barrels during his round. Up the middle approach. Norris had a max exit velocity of 83 mph. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 74 mph. 

Camden Smith: 1B/3B, (2022) Florence, AL. 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 90 mph. Setup consists of athletic stance and a compact load. Had quick bat speed and simple swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 74 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.49. 

Lucas Baggett: 3B/RHP, (2022) Pike Road, AL. 5-foot-9, 160-pound projectable frame. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.12. Starts in an athletic balanced stance with a compact load, then uses a short stride before his swing. Has flat swing plane and has level finish. Barreled up some balls during the round. Up the middle approach. Baggett had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. While in the infield, made throws up to 72 mph. On the mound, used a side angle. Sat with his fastball at 73-74 mph with a max of 75 mph. Curveball (61-62 mph).

Began in a wide stance with a smooth load, then used a quick stride before his swing. Bat speed was some, used upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels during his rounds. Pull side approach. the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 82 mph. While in the infield, made throws up to 72 mph. On the mound, shows above average arm speed. Displayed a clean finish Threw his fastball 70-71 mph with a max of 72 mph. Curveball (62-64 mph), changeup (67-68 mph).

Logan Starnes: SS/2B, (2023) Shelby County, AL. 5-foot-7, 120-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 76 mph. Setup is comprised of quiet stance and a quick load. Flat swing plane. Produced some loud contact and found a few barrels. Gap to gap approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 72 mph. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a short arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.63. 

Landon Barnes: 3B/1B, (2022) North Jackson, TN. 6-foot-2, 185-pound mature frame. At the plate, Barnes had an exit velocity of 80 mph. Sets up in an athletic stance and had a controlled stride. Bat speed is some and displays simple swing plane. Found some barrels through his rounds. Line drive approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 71 mph. Had decent accuracy. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.15. 

Benjamin Arn: 1B/LHP, (2023) Bob Jones, AL. 5-foot-10, 180-pound sturdy frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 80 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a short stride just before his swing. Has rotational swing plane and has good extension on his finish. Found some barrels during his round. Line drive approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 70 mph. Had a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.85. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 72-73 mph with a max of 74 mph; showed sinking action and consistent command. His curveball (54-55) has sweeping action. He has fading action on his changeup (55-56). 

Seth Walton: 2B/RHP, (2024) Brooks, AL. 5-foot-9, 150-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 77 mph. Starts in a quiet stance with a tight load, then uses a short stride before his swing. Has flat swing plane and level finish. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 70 mph. Showed a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a 60 time of 7.78 at the event. On the mound, has consistent arm speed. slow temp type pitcher. Consistent balance point. an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 68-69 mph and topped out at 70 mph. Curveball (56-60 mph).

Camron Laffitte: SS/OF, (2024) Saraland, AL. 5-foot-9, 160-pound sturdy frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. Started in an open stance with a toe tap. Had above average bat speed. Found a few barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 70 mph. Recorded a 60 time of 8.01 at the event. 

Cade Moore: SS/3B, (2023) Lexington, AL. 5-foot-10, 185-pound physical frame. Clocked a time of 8.01 in the 60-yard dash. Has a controlled load then a toe tap. Bat speed is explosive, shows simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up some balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Moore displayed an exit velocity of 91 mph, showing his strength and power ability. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 61 mph. Had a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. 

Taylor Birmingham: SS/2B, (2022) Next Level Academy, AL. 5-foot-8, 140-pound proportional frame. Recorded a 60 time of 7.66 at the event. Started in a tall stance with a compact load, then used a quick stride just before his swing. Had average bat speed, short swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels in his round. Birminghams best exit velocity was 73 mph. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 68 mph. Showed some accuracy to the bag with a short arm action. 

Taurus Ceasor Jr.: 3B/RHP, (2024) Baker, AL. 5-foot-7, 164-pound proportional frame. At the plate, Ceasor jr. had an exit velocity of 84 mph. Setup consists of balanced stance and a small leg kick. Has simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 67 mph. Used a long arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.79. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 70-71 mph with a max of 71 mph. Curveball (62-63 mph).

Aaron Rowell: SS/C, (2025) N/A, FL. 5-foot-10, 150-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 79 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a controlled stride. Had raw bat speed and upward swing plane. He created some loud contact during the round. Pull side approach. While in the infield, made throws up to 67 mph. Had a ¾ slot and a short arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.94. On the mound, produced a fastball that came in at 64-65 mph and topped out at 66 mph. Curveball (58-59 mph).

Had efficient bat speed, flat swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Base hit approach. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 67 mph. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.06. 

Matthew Pearson: 2B/SS, (2022) Shelby County, AL. 5-foot-10, 185-pound projectable frame. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.8. Starts in an active stance with a high load, then uses a quick stride before his swing. Bat speed is efficient and shows loose swing plane. Found a couple of barrels in his rounds. Up the middle approach. Pearson had an exit velocity of 80 mph. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 67 mph. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action.

Began in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is average, exhibits simple swing plane and high finish. He Barreled up some balls during the round. Myles Johnson: 3B/RHP, (2025) Madison Academy, AL. 5-foot-7, 129-pound solid frame. In the box, the left-handed hitters best exit velocity was 70 mph. Begins in a quiet stance with a big load, then uses a toe tap. Had good extension on his finish. Found some barrels during his round. Opposite field approach. Bat speed is above average and exhibits short swing plane. He Barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws up to 64 mph. Showed consistent accuracy to the bases. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.71. 

Drew Bodnar: 1B/3B, (2024) Mountain Brook, AL. 6-foot-1, 200-pound sturdy frame. In the box, Bodnar recorded an exit velocity of 77 mph. Started in a balanced stance. In his round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average in the infield, displayed a velocity of 63 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. Clocked a 60 time of 8.68 at the event. 

Davis Parker: 2B/OF, (2025) Madison Academy, AL. 5-foot-5, 120-pound athletic frame. In the box, Parkers best exit velocity was 69 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Bat speed is average, uses simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Bryant Jones: SS/RHP, (2025) Austin, AL. 5-foot-6, 115-pound sturdy frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 69 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a quick stride to initiate his swing. Had level swing plane, some bat speed and high finish. Found some barrels in his rounds. Fluid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 61 mph. Showed a short arm action and decent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 9.11. On the mound, pitches from a ¾ angle. Slow temp type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 64-65 mph with a max of 66 mph. Curveball (57-58 mph), changeup (60-61 mph).

Evan Whitworth: RHP/3B, (2024) Clements, AL. 5-foot-8, 140-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 73 mph. Setup includes active stance and a controlled load. Bat speed was efficient, and used flat swing plane. Opposite field approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 61 mph. Showed a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.6. On the mound, has an over-the-top arm angle with a loose arm action. Lands soft. Sat with his fastball at 65-66 mph and topped out at 66 mph. Changeup (63-64 mph).

James Gatlin Jr.: 3B/2B, (2024) Clements, AL. 5-foot-4, 133-pound proportional frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 69 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a controlled stride. Had flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels during his rounds. Up the middle approach. Average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 61 mph. Used an-over-the-top slot and a consistent arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.58. 

Brady Moore: 1B/3B, (2023) Clements, AL. 5-foot-11, 220-pound physical frame. At the plate, Moore had an exit velocity of 81 mph. Setup consists of a controlled load and balanced stance. Bat speed is quick and exhibits uphill swing plane. He found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 70 mph. Showed consistent accuracy. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.91.
