Mizuno Pitcher of the Week: Week 6

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year, we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Special thank you to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season and for the high school coaches who nominated their players for this award.
Continuing from last year, we will also be highlighting other players from across the state in our Alabama Diamond Notes that we will release each Tuesday. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Mizuno Pitcher or Player of the Week.

Stats from Week 6
+ LHP/OF Christian Hill (Greenville, 2023) helped the Tigers accomplish a feat that they hadn't done in 10 years as a program with his performance on the mound this past week. A two-way player, Hill made his biggest impact on the mound in two area games where they ended up winning and clinching a spot in the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. For the week, the southpaw went 1-0, SV, 7.2 IP, H, 0 ER, and 17 K's in two combined outings.
