Mizuno Player of the Week: Week 4

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year, we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Special thank you to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season and for the high school coaches who nominated their players for this award.
Continuing from last year, we will also be highlighting other players from across the state in our Alabama Diamond Notes that we will release each Tuesday. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Mizuno Pitcher or Player of the Week.

Stats from Week 4
+ OF Mike Hamilton (Hazel Green, 2023), an uncommitted senior, was a huge bright spot on the week for the Trojans while driving in runs at a premium hitting in the heart of their order. Playing a doubleheader against Hartselle and in our PBR North AL Showdown this past weekend, Hamilton combined to go 9-for-18 (.500) with five doubles, a triple, a home run, 11 RBI's, two walks, and scored six times offensively. Defensively, the senior chipped in with two outfield assists to cut down a pair of runs, as well.
