Mizuno Player of the Week: Week 7

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year, we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Special thank you to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season and for the high school coaches who nominated their players for this award.
Continuing from last year, we will also be highlighting other players from across the state in our Alabama Diamond Notes that we will release each Tuesday. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Mizuno Pitcher or Player of the Week.

Stats from Week 7
+ 1B Easton Fields (Vincent, 2023), an uncommitted senior, was a major power source all week for the Yellow Jackets hitting in the three-hole in their lineup. For the week, the right-hander went 8-for-10 (.800) and blast four home runs, one of those being a walk-off grand slam earlier in the week, while also driving in 10 RBIs. The senior has continued to put up strong numbers week in, and week out, as he is hitting .462 with nine HRs and 33 RBIs for the season.
