+ RHP/1B Brodie Wilson (Faith Academy, 2027) entered in a crucial spot in the middle innings for Team Alabama 14U (2) and provided a pair of strong frames to keep the contest tied. Entering in a 2-2 ballgame, the rising freshman tossed a scoreless 3rd and 4th innings to allow Team Alabama 14U (2) to put up some runs and take the lead after. Listed at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, the right-hander possesses tons of physical strength to his build and uses it well in his operation. Operating from a clean delivery, the rising freshman lived anywhere from 83-86 mph during his outing; possessed carrying life at the top of the zone and collected swings-and-misses. He also mixed in a gradual 11-5 breaking ball that ranged in the upper-60s and has a chance to be a put-away pitch. Also a big power presence hitting from the right side, too.

+ RHP/OF Brooks Campbell (Mars Hill Bible, 2027) was handed the ball to get things started for Team Alabama 14U (1) in the opening game on pool play and delivered two strong innings of work. Using a lean & highly projectable 6-foot-1, 140-pound frame, the rising freshman located his fastball in the zone and operated mostly at the 80-82 mph range with it. He also featured a sharp breaking ball that showed 12-6 shape, which worked well off of his fastball and was able to use it as a put-away offering. The right-hander also belted a two-run double in the middle innings to deep left field in his first at-bat, as well. Intriguing young prospect to follow as he continues to add mass and develop.

+ C/SS Rocco Maniscalco (Oxford, 2027) has gotten off to a really strong start at this week's event with multiple hits in the opening game of pool play after an impressive round of BP yesterday. Maniscalco, a 5-foot-11, 175-pounder, continues to make a lasting impression on our staff and delivered the biggest swing of the day for Team Alabama 14U (1) in the final inning. After a single in his second at-bat, the rising freshman stepped up with the bases loaded and two outs with his team trailing 5-2. Looking to hunt a fastball, the switch-hitter picked one out and drove it to deep right field to clear the bases and tie the contest up for his team. There's plenty to like for the future for this rising freshman and he'll look to continue his strong start over the next few days.

+ SS/RHP Gavin Lang (Collinsville, 2027) was another prospect that continues to showcase well after a solid workout yesterday. After impressing in a variety of ways, the rising freshman was all over the barrel in both of his plate appearances in the nightcap for Team Alabama 14U (2), where he went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles and a run driven in. He also dominated the routine play on the infield, and made a difficult play charging on a slow-roller look fairly easy from the shortstop position in last night's game. He possesses plenty of intriguing skills right now and will a good one to follow and keep close tabs on moving forward over the next few years in the rising freshman class in AL.
