Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations from high school coaches statewide. A special thank you to Mizuno for sponsoring these awards and to the coaches for their nominations.

Additionally, we will continue our Alabama Diamond Notes, released every Wednesday, to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Mizuno Pitcher or Player of the Week.

Mizuno Week 3 Pitcher of the Week

Brady Richardson SS / RHP / Enterprise, AL / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 19 / POS: 3 Enterprise RHP/SS Brady Richardson has been named the Mizuno Pitcher of the Week after a dominant complete-game performance in a win over Homewood. Richardson struck out 16 while allowing just two hits and no walks, holding opposing hitters to a .087 batting average in the shutout victory. A Troy recruit and a top-20 prospect in Alabama’s 2025 class, Richardson has been a key factor in Enterprise’s perfect 12-0 start to the season. His elite command and overpowering stuff continue to solidify his status as one of the state’s premier two-way talents.
