Scouting Report

Milligan is a 6-foot-4 200-pound left-hander with a large frame and a sturdy build. He competes in the strike zone with a fastball that works 85-87 mph with slight arm side run. He has a feel for his mid 70’s curveball with a slowed arm action. He throws his changeup 79 mph. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with some stiffness and a deliberate delivery. Overall a physical player that can pitch with some projectability.

Milligan was a physically advanced athlete at an early age. He throw mid 80’s as a freshman and gained national recognition early on. He committed to Mississippi State. As a junior Milligan battled injuries and missed the majority of the season. Arkansas hired Wes Johnson as their pitching coach and Milligan decommitted from Mississippi State and committed to Arkansas.

In the spring of 2017 Milligan was one of the top MLB prospects from the state of Arkansas. His large frame and feel to pitch with an upper 80s fastball, made him a frequent stops for scouts. Ultimately both sides of the process, decided Milligan would benefit from attending Arkansas, and Milligan is on campus competing for mound time for the Razorbacks.
