dierks vs bigelow

dierks record: 16-4 bigelow record: 12-8

ROAD TO STATE:

Bigelow finished tied for first in the powerful 2A-5 conference and went 1-2 in the regional receiving the 4 seed but don't let it fool you into thinking Dierks has an easy matchup. Dierks comes in having won their regional beating conference 1st place finish Murfreesboro. Dierks has the experience to make a deep run in this state tournament.

acorn vs rector

acorn record: 10-8 rector record: 17-7

ROAD TO STATE:

Rector finished second in the 2A-3 conference and finished third in regionals with its lone loss being to McCrory. Acorn comes in as the 2 seed after a close loss to Mansfield in the regional championship. Finishing second behind Mansfield in conference Acorn has played some tough opponents which should prepare them for Rector.

southside bee branch vs horatio

ssbb record: 17-9 horatio record:19-10-1

ROAD TO STATE:

SSBB comes in hot and has plenty of firepower to make another state title run. Easton Swofford leads the way and is swinging a hot bat through the first couple rounds of playoff baseball. Horatio comes in on a two game skid however they have some arms that can silence the hot bats of SSBB after finishing second in the 2A-7 conference behind powerhouse Murfreesboro.

mccrory vs lavaca

mccrory record22-5-1 lavaca record: 9-9

ROAD TO STATE:

McCrory is a favorite to play in the title game and has plenty of post season experience. After losing in the regional championship the only question with McCrory is depth on the mound. Lavaca comes in out of the 2S-4 conference having finished 3rd in the regular season and third in the regional championship.

mansfield vs riverside

mansfield record: 23-4 Riverside Record: 13-13

ROAD TO STATE:

Mansfield undefeated in the 2A-4 conference and won the regional fairly easy, leaves Mansfield as a team to beat. Riverside is 500 on the season however they knocked off potential state title contender Carlisle in the first round of regionals. Riding a 2 game skid, Riverside will look to knock off another state title contender in Mansfield on Thursday.

st joseph vs woodlawn

st joseph record: 17-3 Woodlawn record: 23-6

ROAD TO STATE:

Woodlawn is a perennial title contender however they were tripped up in the regional tournament however track record says the Bears know the magic it takes to get to the final day. St Joseph comes out of the mighty 2A-5 conference and has only been beaten three times. This could be a championship type game out of the gate on day one.

buffalo island central vs mountainburg

bic record: 18-2 mountainburg record:12-11

ROAD TO STATE:

BIC comes into the state tournament as one of the top teams and one that many think will have a chance to win a title. After rolling through the 2A-3 conference and the regional tournament BIC is a team to beat. Mountainburg comes into play having gone 1-2 in regional play and looking to upset the top rated team in the tournament.

murfreesboro vs melbourne

murfreesboro record:19-8-1 melbourne record:20-5

ROAD TO STATE:

Melbourne and Murfreesboro could be a heavy weight fight. Melbourne comes into tournament after going 2-1 in regional championship after losing a slug fest with SSBB. Murfreesboro went undefeated in conference and has proven they can win the big game. Finishing second in the regional tournament depth on the mound is the only question. This should be a big time matchup.
