Player Spotlight 

Jackson Mullen: OF/SS, (2022) Baptist Preparatory, AR. 5-foot-9, 180-pound physical frame. Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is above average, uses a short upward swing plane and high finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Advanced in the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 95 mph. Fluid when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 88 mph;had sure consistent hands, a natural clean exchange, and rhythmic smooth footwork. Movements laterally were quick and he fields the ball one hand. Used a high ¾ slot with a long arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.

Power: 95 mph exit velocity. 

Defense:  (OF) Sure consistent hands, rhythmic smooth footwork, natural clean exchange. Fluid.  Laterally, movements were quick and fielded the ball one hand. 

Arm: 88 mph outfield velocity. Long arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

 

 

5-Foot-9, 168-Pound frame, athletic frame with present strength, ran a 7.03 60, Offensively; open set, leg lift to stride, slight swing of front foot to landing, barrel angle at foot strike, slight over rotation to contact, barrel works slightly behind body, bat speed, extension to the middle, line drive approach, some pull side power, 88 mph exit velo, Defensively; active feet, glove flip to glove presentation, funnel to midline, glove pat to throw, average carry, short stroke, 81 mph arm strength.
