On Saturday, February 1st, the Prep Baseball Arkansas team hosted the annual East Arkansas Preseason ID at Max Velocity in Jonesboro, AR. This event was open for all high school classes (2025-28), and gave our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts below within these ‘Quick Hits’.

Robert Hall OF / 1B / Marion, AR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 56 / POS: 18 Robert is a physical player that took a loud batting practice. Physically advanced at the plate with some big power.

Keaton Mathis C / RHP / Valley View, AR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 5 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 442 / POS: 44 Keaton had a big day and looks good after an injury last year. Keaton is physcially advanced and showed great feel behind the plate. His swing during BP was repeated and showed consistant hard contact to the middle of the field. One of the top catchers in the 2026 class.

Levi Martin RHP / 3B / Valley View, AR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 12 / POS: 2 Levi is one of the top uncommitted arms in the state. After a big showing at the Future Games, Levi showed two way potential with a loud BP and an electric bullpen. A top end arm in the class that has advanced pitchability.

Beck Black 3B / OF / Valley View, AR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 30 / POS: 4 Beck is a physically advanced player that has concrete in his barrel. He consistantly hits the ball on the nose in his BP rounds and shows repeated actions.

Brody Freeman OF / RHP / Valley View, AR / 2028 One of the younger players in the event showing a smooth left handed stroke that repeated in BP producing line drives across the field. Brody is one to follow in the 2028 class.

Lyric Gray OF / LHP / Jonesboro, AR / 2029 One of the youngest players to participate, Lyric is an athletic quick twitch 2029 that showed a repeated swing with twitch to contact. Lyric will be one to follow as he continues to garner more strength.

Tyce Fletcher 3B / RHP / Cabot, AR / 2028 Tyce is a long lean athletic player that has high upside. His swing was controlled and produced repeated hard contact throughout his rounds of BP.
