No. 2 Red Mountain scores 2 runs in bottom of the 7th to walkoff No. 1 Hamilton

After a score by Hamilton in the 2nd inning on an RBI double by 2022 1B Logan Saloman (ASU recruit), Red Mountain found themselves down 1-0 for most of the game. In the 7th, the Mountain Lions scored two runs to walkoff the Huskies. 2021 OF Rocco Acedo hit a big ground rule double to tie the game at 1 with two runners on. It surly would have been a walkoff double had it not bounced over the fence. They then got the winning run across on a passed ball. The low scoring affair was a battle on the mound between seniors, RHP RJ Elmore (GCU recruit) & LHP Brock Selvidge (LSU recruit). Elmore didnt allow an earned run in the game & Selvidge only allowed one.

basha Bears, Dallin harrison blanks O'Connor in first varsity start

2023 RHP Dallin Harrison got his first varsity start for Basha against the new No. 4 ranked, Sandra Day O'Connor. Harrison went the complete game for the Bears earning the shutout. He struck out 10 batters in the outing while only allowing one unearned run on single hit & 3 walks. The top four hitters in the Basha lineup produced all of the offense in the game with Madrid, Smith & Douglas notching multi-hit games. 2021 C Tanner Smith (Oregon State recruit) hit two doubles in the game, scoring & driving in a run. 2023 SS Drew Douglas had to big hits in the game on an RBI single & 2-run HR. The Basha Bears won the game, 5 to 1.
