Phoenix Preseason ID: Vizual Edge Leaderboard

On Saturday, January 21st, PBR Arizona hosted its first showcase of the 2023 season, the Phoenix Preseason ID, at Apollo High School. The event featured over 75 players from the 2023 and 2027 classes, allowing our staff the chance to get early looks at some unsigned upperclassmen, as well the next wave of talent coming through the State.
All players ran through our series of tech partners including TrackMan for both bullpens and batting practice, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge. Below, we continue to break down all the data from the event with a look at the top Vizual Edge scores.
What is vizual edge?
Visual Edge is a market leader in visual performance assessment and training that multiple MLB clubs use for its players.
During Prep Baseball Report events, players will take the Vizual Edge 15-minute baseline evaluation. Following the event, players will receive an email PDF of your results - your EDGE SCORE - that will identify your strengths and weaknesses, which directly impacts on-field performance.
Visual skills are critical for pitch recognition, reaction speed, timing, seeing spin on the ball, defensive performance and much more. Your EDGE Score will also live inside your Prep Baseball Report profile.
