Underclass Preseason All-State: Statistical Analysis

This past weekend, the Prep Baseball Arizona staff hosted it's premiere event of the preseason for underclassmen with the Underclass Preseason All-State (Invite-Only) hosted at Casteel High School in Queen Creek, Arizona. The event featured 75 of the top prospects in Arizona's 2027 and 2028 classes, including several nationally-ranked prospects, that saw all players run through a pro-style workout with alongside our tech partners TrackMan, Blast Motion, VALD Performance, Vizual Edge and more.

Preseason All-State events allow our staff to see the top players in the State compete against eachother in a workout, as well as gameplay, ahead of the high school season. It allows top players in the State a chance to showcase their offseason gains heading into the high school season, updating player profiles with a new headshots and metrics for college coaches to view as they begin to put together their 2027 watch-lists for the summer.

Preseason All-State events also serve as identifiers for marquee events such as the Future Games.

Today we'll take a deep dive into the data collected at this event within this Statistical Analysis story as we provide leaderboards via TrackMan Hitting, TrackMan Pitching, Blast Motion and positional metrics.
