Our second day covering the Langley Blaze saw the team head to Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona for a matchup against Seattle Mariners prospects.

The matchup saw the Mariners throw a trio of quality arms while the Blaze sent a pair of high-end uncommitted prospects to the hill in 2024 RHP Jacob Wallace (ABC Academy) and 2026 LHP Sean Duncan. Langley also threw a pair of University of Fraser Valley arms.

The starting lineup was relatively similar to the previous day which gave our staff another look at some of the top 2023 and 2024 prospects in the country. Below, we break down another five prospects who caught our attention on Monday in Peoria.

Langley blaze pro tour quick hits (vs. mariners)

Jacob Wallace RHP / 1B / Chene Bleu Pincourt, QC / 2024

Uncommitted 2024 RHP Jacob Wallace (ABC Academy) got the start on Monday against the Mariners. The body continues to look better on the mound at 6-foot-3, 230-pounds. It’s a three-pitch mix and the fastball sat 87-89mph along with a curveball at 74-76 and changeup at 77. Despite running into some trouble, he was able to limit the hard contact during his two innings due to his ability to change speeds and keep hitters off balance. Lots to like in Wallace as he’s still in Grade 11 and one of the top uncommitted arms in the country.

Sean Duncan / Langley Blaze, BC / 2026

Uncommitted 2026 LHP Sean Duncan went up against pro hitters for the first time and was unfazed. Attacked with the FB that sat 85-87 on the corners with conviction. He paired a fading CH with a 2-plane breaking ball that he was able to get swing and misses. It’s XL fluid and clean in his delivery with a ton of confidence. His final line was 2IP, 3 K’s, 1 H, 0 BB. Duncan might be the best 2026 player in the country and he proved why today against minor league Mariners hitters.

Ty Hamilton LHP / OF / NA, ON / 2023

2023 OF and Utah commit, Ty Hamilton (Watson Elite), has been one of the top positional players on the Blaze during the first two days of the trip we’ve seen. Physical 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame and no doubt looks stronger and bigger in the box than the previous year. Came through with the biggest hit of the game, hitting a no-doubt HR to the pullside. Continues to put the ball in the play and provide offensive production against high-level arms. Also has arm strength in the outfield and covers ground well with good reads. Flashed his range and defending skills in CF, going back to the wall to make a tough play late in the game.

Deiten Lachance C / 3B / Le triolet, QC / 2023

2023 C and McLennan commit, Deiten Lachance (ABC Academy), came through with a pair of hits Monday with a ground-ball single back up the middle and a line drive single to LF. Has shown the ability to make hard contact against high-velo arms and did so again today. Big frame behind the dish at 6-foot-4, 225-pounds and moves well back there for his size with good receiving skills.
