British Columbia Insider: Freshman Spotlight - Loreto Siniscalchi

Loreto Siniscalchi RHP / Langley, BC / 2021

Report: Loreto a 6-foot-two 185-pound right handed pitcher has the chance to be an impact arm in the 2021 class, already ramping his fastball up to 85 mph with good feel for his off speed pitches at a young age. He throws from a high-¾ arm slot with a drop and drive lower half. His arm action is clean, quick and very repeatable. At the plate he swings it from the left side with an aggressiveness and lift in his swing. He has good balance and does not get fooled too often. It’s easy to see why Loreto is one of the top 2021 players in Canada.

2018 Outlook: Loreto, still young as a 2021 will be one of the top players in the 16u group this year with advanced tools for his age. A legitimate two-way guy right now with a fastball and swing from the left side that will produce power, he most likely won’t get a lot to hit and will need to jump on pitches when he sees them, but still be able to show patience at the same time. Will have plenty of opportunity to play for provincial teams and a shot with the National Team could be foreseeable in the future as he continues to develop. Also a prime candidate for the Future Team that competes in Indianapolis in front of 200 plus college coaches in August.
